First Pro C was released Aug 2006, and then C2 9 years later in Aug 2015. It's been a bit under 8 years since an update.
First Pro Q was released Nov 2009, and then Q2 was about 5 years later Aug 2014, and Q3 about 4 years later Nov 29 2018. It's been 4.5 years since the last update.
First Pro L was released Oct 2010, and then L2 7 years later in Dec 2017. It's been 5.5 years since the last update.
DS (Oct 2012), MB (Oct 2013), R (Nov 2016) and G (May 2011) have only had one release each.
What does this all mean? Nothing really, just observations of a mad person, trying to find patterns where there are none. But based on this crazy stuff, Pro C3 being next isn't out of the question.

It’s one of the most “analog sounding” (and behaving) software synths. I don’t know if I’d say it’s the closest, but it’s definitely in the top tier with a small handful of others.

I hope to see DS and G, cause i think they can be lots better with modern technology

Indeed. Almost has a hardware ‘feel’ to its sound. Similar to Reveal Sound Spire.vitocorleone123 wrote: Wed Jun 14, 2023 4:17 pmIt’s one of the most “analog sounding” (and behaving) software synths. Well, looking at it statistically like that, it might juuuuuust be possible they are gearing up to update their entire range of Mixing & Mastering plugins in one go! Imagine that! Fabfilter will also turn 20 years old on 14th of April 2024, so that may also fuel the fire of conjecture. Will something cool happen then? (Most likely not. On their 15th anniversary they did have a 40% off sale.)kevingham wrote: Thu Jun 15, 2023 8:34 am Well, looking at it statistically like that, it might juuuuuust be possible they are gearing up to update their entire range of Mixing & Mastering plugins in one go! I think fabfilter likes to release one by one to maximize sales of each one, if they release all at once people will get their fav and might be harder to get interest again.kevingham wrote: Thu Jun 15, 2023 8:34 amWell, looking at it statistically like that, it might juuuuuust be possible they are gearing up to update their entire range of Mixing & Mastering plugins in one go! I'd like to see Fabfilter's take on a spectral plugin.

After trying the demos, on many occasions during sales I've been close to buying Timeless, Saturn, Pro-L, Pro-R, Pro-C, Pro-MB... for some reason all I ever felt like getting from them was Pro-Q, which I use all the time.
One thing I'd 99% buy at launch is a FabFilter channel strip.

I have all the desktop effects, but with a basic Logic finally available on iPad I have a reason to buy the mobile versions, but I’m also considering ditching the iPad for a MacBook Air 15” - or keep both?
Tough decisions.

Or get them all and make your own channel strip.Niowiad wrote: Thu Jun 15, 2023 7:15 pm After trying the demos, on many occasions during sales I've been close to buying Timeless, Saturn, Pro-L, Pro-R, Pro-C, Pro-MB... for some reason all I ever felt like getting from them was Pro-Q, which I use all the time.

I’m not a fan of channel strips because there’s usually 1-3 things I wish were something different, or I prefer a different plugin for one of the features, but then the placement (pre/post channel strip) is not right making the channel strip pointless.
