Do any of these stand out as being "yes, that one's really worth it?"
Or do any of these have a sound that's easily identifiable as being 'Moogish'?
I know i can try the demos, but that also means installing i-lok, which I've avoided so far.

I bought the full bundle on its initial discount. But the delay is by far my favorite. There are some options for the tone, strict vs. loose timing, etc. and it's very easy to get it sounding great.felis wrote: Tue Jun 13, 2023 12:07 pm Do any of these stand out as being "yes, that one's really worth it?"

The ringmod is more useful than I would ever have guessed. With drive and the LFO on it which I might not have thought to do myself, it's just a neat combo.
Clusterflux is a nice one to make your sound a bit slippery.
Saturator is an odd one. They all have a drive stage, which made me think it was a bit silly to release it as a standalone pedal. But this attaches an envelope follower to it as well as a filtered noise source, and is good for tailoring kicks and other things... honestly I should probably use it more because it surprises me.
To me the filter sounds suitably Moogish. I won't make any claims about how authentic it is to the actual pedal, but it sounds decent and musically useful. I have several other filter options though, and I usually think of those first.
Personally I'm not into the phaser, compared to Electric Mistress or other options. And MuRF and Freqbox are too gimmicky for me.

Trivia point: Nicholas Briggs (the current voice of the Daleks) uses a Moogerfooger ring-mod for the voice treatment set to about 30Hz. Tried it out while testing the trial versions of the plugins and it sounds pretty genuine so long as your speaking voice is indignant and/or furious enough. May come in useful for such things as invading the Earth and plotting the destruction of the Doctor.

Only wished the GUIs were scalable, but the units themselves are cool.
I used to own the HW versions except for the delay and the clusterflux
The HW 101 was my choice to drive kicks, great for gabber

Individual plugins are 75% off at ADSR, apparently until Aug 1. https://www.adsrsounds.com/software-developer/moog/

I got the Moog filter plugin from Plugin Boutique a few days ago for $30 using reward money. Only if I waited, I could've gotten it for less. Good thing I decided not to get the ring modulator (I have Echobode) and phaser (I recommend the BLEASS phaser) that day, but now I'm reconsidering them.

That ADSR sale is insane. Grabbed a couple and licences worked fine. I wonder if that's supposed to be the prices? Good time to get as many as you can, I doubt they'll be this price again.

If you were to get all 8 of them, the total would be 148,08€ (I looked at the price of each of them and did the math).Mr Arkadin wrote: Sun Jun 18, 2023 2:37 pm That ADSR sale is insane. For reference, the introductory price was 180€ vat included at fall 2022. Last November I spent slightly less that 180€ because I had some virtual cash at PB, but it's still more than the current deal (and it's less than a year from launch... I'm not complaining, as I knew from the start that one day there would have been a better deal than my initial purchase, but I'm a bit surprised that it took less than a year...).
I have no idea about the pricing in future, especially now that Moog is part of the InMusic group, maybe we'll see deal like this again (maybe even better?) or maybe not...
In my opinion, about 150€ is a fair price for the whole bundle, 180€ was a bit high (but you pay for the novelty / early access...).

I don’t keep track of what the €/$ conversion is, but I think I paid $150 for them when they were released and that’s a very fair price for the collection.sin night wrote: Sun Jun 18, 2023 3:48 pmIf you were to get all 8 of them, the total would be 148,08€ (I looked at the price of each of them and did the math).Mr Arkadin wrote: Sun Jun 18, 2023 2:37 pm That ADSR sale is insane. If I already have an abundance of processors (filters, phasers, delays, choruses, saturators, etc., etc., etc.) do these give me anything significantly new?
A well-behaved signature.

Different flavor perhaps.JerGoertz wrote: Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:39 am If I already have an abundance of processors (filters, phasers, delays, choruses, saturators, etc., etc., etc.) do these give me anything significantly new?

Much prefer buying them a la carte, because only a few of them interest me. Will demo the Filter, MuRF, and Ringmod, which overlap but may exceed existing options. Not convinced the Delay, Phaser, or Saturator add anything beyond existing kit. Freqbox not interesting at all.
