Audio Clippping Meter Reset?

So when I have my guitar plugged in through my audio interface, I'm trying to adjust the volume. My interface doesn't have any kind of meters or clipping indicators on it so I use the ones in waveform tracktion. When it clips the red bar at the top of the meter lights up and stays there, but now even if I have lowered my volume the red bar stays there and I can't tell if its clipping or not anymore. I would've assumed it was on a timer and after like 5 or 10 seconds it would disappear, but it seems to just stay indefinitely. Is there any way to reset or clear it? Or is there a way to set a timeout for it? The only way I have found is to change inputs and then change it back, but thats kind of a pain sometimes.

Double clicking on this scale resets the value.

Typing the backslash key should reset it. Of course, you can easily remap that to any key you find more convenient.
