Whenever I'm editing notes while playing in tracktion (with z3ta+), the CPU usage is increasing immensely! Is there a way to kind of disable this? This happens even if I disable the little loudspeaker icon in the midi editing bar (sorry, I don't know how to describe this in any other way)!

I'd tend to think it's due to that z3ta is eating up your CPU - probably no host on earth can help you with that.

a) don't use the onboard reverb. (turn it off. if you do like z3ta's reverb, use the fx version as a send effect instead)
b) don't use the onboard arp.(turn it off and avoid patches that use arp)
c) lower the polyphoney unless you are holding up some huge chords. :hihi: (z3ta's note-stealing is pretty good)

There seems to be a misunderstanding: When the song plays normally, the CPU level is on a normal, average level, even with 3-4 z3ta's, but as soon as I'm dragging any notes around or draw new ones while the song's playing, I get stutters and clicks and the CPU level goes berserk.

sorry, never had that kind of problem here...but I still think it's not totally impossible that by drawing new notes/draging notes can boost up the CPU usage considerably... :hihi:

that said, I do have some odd CPU usage problem with some plugins occasionally, but never with z3ta though...

Sorry can't be more helpfu. I guess you'll have to test to see if it only happens with certain patches or certain plugin chains or something.

Thanks for the replies :)

I didn't even have an FX chain, just z3ta+... Can anyone else help me or at least explain to me why this happens?

Er... Is this just a problem on my system or does everybody have this? Could you please at least tell me whether this problem affects you too or not.
