Multi Parameter - Modulator confusion

i'm getting to know the newest versions of the melda plug ins after some time away and the recent video series has been really helpful in regard to multi-parameters..
however, i was a big fan of the existing modulation system and just throwing LFOs on stuff and mapping things and then making things go bananas. is that system entirely gone now? all i see are the multi parameters which i understand are extremely powerful.
i'm just looking for some clarity here as it seems i missed an email or two about modulation system changes. perhaps i just have catching up to do or i'm missing something very obvious.
btw if you haven't watched the multi-parameter video series it's pretty mind blowing the flexibility available.

Modulators are still there. The panels are now collapsible, so it might be that you can not see them until you open the panel. They are just under the meters.

MPs are an efficient way to automate several things with only one automation lane / envelope. If only one thing needs to be automated, then I just automate it without using a multi parameter.wpostma wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 12:17 am Are multi parameters the normal way to do automation slot mapping if you want your host DAW to automate params in melda plugins?

That's going to be DAW specific, but you might need to scroll past all the "Parameters" (I think thats what they're called in the list) to find the rest of the 'normal' automatable controls. It can be a very long list for some Melda plugins.wpostma wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 3:42 am Ah. I have not even found out how to do automation without assigning a multi parameter. Where’s the basic automation lane setup stuff?

In reaper, you can right click a melda parameter (most of them) and select "show track envelope" and it'll appear in a lane under your track.wpostma wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 3:42 am Ah. In Bitwig it's a matter putting the cursor over the knob in the plugin and doing an ever-so-slight mousewheel roll to see it put at the forefront of the Bitwig device for that plugin, ready to receive automation.wpostma wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 3:42 am Ah. Because "Parameters" which is really multi parameters are always first in the list, it makes sense to keep using them for automation as I can name them what I want and they're always at the top of the list in every daw. I use bitwig, cubase, and maschine.
