Today I did some work on a project and suddenly find that TW is unable to save my edit! I have loads of space on my drives. Can anyone help? I tried normal save and also 'save as'. The result is the same. It throws up an option to "Cancel" or "Carry on anyway". Here's another thing: If I reopen the last save of my project, all the tracks are empty! So I loaded the previous save, and then the one before that, but it won't let me save the project. Please help!

Bit of a shot in the dark, but might make a difference.
Try creating a new edit and copying everything from your current edit into it, then try saving the new one.

It's possible, but it's not certain
when saving, you don't have enough RAM, or the Windows disk is full (or being in the "red zone"). As far as I noticed, TW behaves extremely unstable when there is a shortage of any memory, which is logical in principle. Therefore, it is always necessary to ensure that everything is within the required limits.

This should work to salvage as much as possible. Pasting from one edit to another often cleans up a lot of corruption that might exist in the original edit, as well. I hate having to do this, but it has saved my neck a couple of times.jabe wrote: Fri Jun 23, 2023 1:44 pm Bit of a shot in the dark, but might make a difference.

Thanks to all for the replies. I wasn't aware we could cut and paste from one edit to another. I thought I had tried that once and concluded it wasn't possible. I try again.Watchful wrote: Fri Jun 23, 2023 3:56 pmThis should work to salvage as much as possible. I have tons of windows system space and loads of space on the drive that holds my saves. RAM could be an issue. I have 8GB. That's all my system will take.
