Really loving how simple, fast, and easy to use this little guy is. Awesome plugin!
The in-folder quick browsing using the little arrows is GOD-SENT. Love the visual feedback of the yellow bar up top too, makes throwing together a kit and auditioning samples a breeze.
Oh and I didn't realize the shape knob basically functions as an ADSR section, thats fantastic! Amazing that this is completely free.

Question: can Sitala be used in portable mode? I mean, just dropping a folder with its contents and directing the DAW to look for plugins in that folder? Or does it install stuff in other folders or system-specific locations?
Also, is work being done to improve the sample browser?
Thanks,
Mario

I really love Sitala to swap kits on the fly and see what works while jamming/tweaking my tracks
There are (if available )2 BDs and 2 SDs per kits, all mapped to GM standard if applicable)
Get it while it lasts and only 50 Downloads.

Sitala 2.0 adds support for Apple Silicon and VST3, a 4-by-4 MPC-style layout, new factory kits, dark mode, instant missing sample finder, and more.
It's no longer free (the previous version still is), but you can get a discount and win a free copy here: https://rekkerd.org/decomposer-updates- ... y-contest/
Good luck

They stopped supporting Linux, so I no longer have any interest in Sitala. I'll happily continue with my Tal-Drum and Apisonic Labs' SpeedDrum. They made an unfortunate choice, because I buy most sampler apps like Sitala.core wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 11:58 am Sitala 2.0 adds support for Apple Silicon and VST3, a 4-by-4 MPC-style layout, new factory kits, dark mode, instant missing sample finder, and more.

We talked about this some in our FAQ, but the truth is, we're very unlikely to have sold enough licenses on Linux to recoup the costs of supporting Linux. You'd probably be able to count the number of licenses we'd sell on Linux on your fingers and toes.audiojunkie wrote: Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:00 pm They stopped supporting Linux, so I no longer have any interest in Sitala. @scotchi
I purchased the v2.0 and my question is about the online authorization after entering the Serial #.
It would help if it was specified somewhere (did I missed?) that we need an internet connection to authorize Sitala 2.0.
Does this means that we are allowed a specific number of authorizations, such was 2 or 3 or X , and need to call-in eventually when more are needed due to various circumstances?
Thanks.

We track, but don't hard-limit the number of activations. We don't have any plans to limit things for reasonable usage. But if we e.g. see that a license key has been posted online, or been activated on 20 machines in a month, we'd throttle that key. If you're just activating on all of your personal machines, you really don't have to think about things.liquidsound wrote: Sat Jun 24, 2023 9:19 pm Does this means that we are allowed a specific number of authorizations, such was 2 or 3 or X , and need to call-in eventually when more are needed due to various circumstances?
(Our sanity check is basically this: we have a graph of purchases and activations over all keys. If they massively diverged at some point, we'd have a look to see why. It'd probably mean somebody posted their key in a forum. But unless there's an event like that, we don't really pay attention to the number of activations.)

Also maybe useful for people to know: we have a strategy to disable activation if our company ever goes out of business. I'll leave the details fuzzy, but it's something we built into our activation system. (It's obviously not that we expect to go out of business, but I think that's a concern some people have with buying licenses.)

So how does this find samples thing work? I can't for the life of me figure it out, and it doesn't seem to work automatically? That was also the biggest nuisance for version 1 for me.
Another FR: the possibility to lock the the pads on the ui, it's too easy to switch them...

This is my favorite drum sampler, so $20 was a no-brainer for me.
I still think the ultimate drum sampler feature for working with one-shots is velocity > micro pitch and sample start point. Hopeful for V3?
