I re ran the 16.06 installer, used the cleanup option, done this three times now, but still have no GLOBAL presets for MOST of the melda FX plugins.

In the screenshot shown here it's MTurboDelayMB which is missing presets.

There are three presets in a folder called ONLINE EXCHANGE but nothing else.

MTurboDelay DOES have presets.

Did you try using the Devices? I've only been using MeldaProduction plug-ins for a couple of years, but what I have done is used the device default presets to make my own and saved them in my own folders (either as device presents or global presets). To me its as if the MTurboDelayMB plugin's 41 devices act as global templates (aka idea starters).

Maybe someone else knows if the plug-in is supposed to have additional idea starters in the global and device preset folders.

Okay so maybe there's a special confusion with MTurboDelayMB.

There are THREE LAYERS of preset management, because Melda.

Is it BY DESIGN that some plugins have completely empty levels and that you have to find the one level where presets DO LIVE?

In MTurboAmp there are device presets but no global presets.
In some plugins there are global presets only?
And in some plugins there are band presets but no global or device presets?

It feels to me like the meldaverse is very sparse on presets. At least a few sample multiband presets should exist for a big plugin like MTurboDelayMB?

MTurboFilter simply HAS NO PRESETS?

We can create more than 3 bands if we choose. I guess you are looking for some templates for each device that demonstrate ideas for using any number of bands. I thought the model was supposed to be to explore and share what we've done if we want. Basically an open-ended architecture.

I've gone to some of the tutorials to get ideas on the kinds of things to do with multiple bands. But maybe there are supposed to be some Factory Presets.

It's confusing to me. I do not even know if I have a valid install. Surely as a basic installation rule there should be at least a few presets at the top level so you can explore some stuff using presets.

I am guessing that I'm merely confused by the completely inconsistent and unpredictable state of plugins in meldaverse.

There are also deeper layers where presets are available, such as custom envelope shapes. It wouldn't make sense to have the custom envelope presets in the same menu as Device presets, imo.

Talking about deeper levels, there are a lot of global presets at the Band level. I have 275, 17 of which were downloaded and 1 is in my custom "My Tweaks" folder. NICE!!!! That way we can put different devices on different bands!!!!!

If you want, I suppose you can probably create global presets with a single band, set a device on that band, and then save the ones you like on the top level (or all of them).

That’s not a bad idea. The rabbit hole is deep with these plugins.

If MELDA staff people read this: PLEASE SHIP AT LEAST A FEW PRESETS AT THE GLOBAL LEVEL FOR EVERY PLUGIN, or have a popup note that you can close that says "the factory presets for <PluginName> live at the <specific> level".

MTurboDelayMB plugins deserve some sample multiband presets in the factory set.

I agree that the lack of global presets for MTurboDelayMB is puzzling.

I figured out at least one partial workaround, which was to export all of the presets from MTurboDelay and then import them into MTurboDelayMB.

What you wind up with are presets that use only a single band, but you'll at least have some starting points.

As for MTurboFilter, I just don't understand why it has no devices nor any global presets. It seems incomplete, especially compared to MFilter, which comes with a good selection of both.

For someone like me, who would like to be able to use the effect without having to choose and tweak my own algorithms, it makes MTurboFilter useless. Fortunately we have MComb, MFilter, MBandpass, et al.
