Cheers for the feedback. I'll try the same on my Win7 system soon, though I know the standalone MAX/MSP would no longer install on that as of a couple of minor versions ago, so that may have an impact from the Max4Live side. Would be nice if it worked, not holding my breath.

Well, it worked. Live 11.3 is installed, currently side-by-side with my 11.2 install. Which surprised me a bit, because the version of Max it uses wouldnt go on.
11.2 was pointed at a separate standalone version of Max, but Ive even pointed 11.3 at the bundled version and indications are that (at least some) M4L devices are working okay. Editing them throws up error messages that RNBO isnt supported on the OS, butlike, I wasnt going to be using M4L for that so...
Yeah, will test a bit more over the next wee while, but Im kinda hopeful for now.

Open the Ableton installer.exe in UniExtract and unpack it. It will unpack it into a folder with the same name as the installer.
Inside this new folder is a folder called AttachedContainer. Copy the Installer Data .cab files into here.
This folder also has the Push driver. Delete it (or replace it with the older driver, maybe renamed to match).
Run the Setup.msi in this folder and hope for the best.

This is awesome. I was so pissed that suddenly Ableton literally "PUSHED" their crap even for people who don't own this hardware. They don't even give you to option NOT to install it in Version 11.3.3. I sincerely hope they change this soon, so people can opt out of this push installation.
