Midi knife tool

Hi the new version is really sweet but could we please get a midi knife tool in the next one to split or cut midi notes wherevee they are clicked. I know it may not sound an exciting feature but would make midi editing a lot better. Thanks

Nice to know thanks for the reply. May I ask if we cannot split midi items is there a way to split an entire midi clip from the piano roll editor? Whilst not the same as a midi split tool i just wondered if this functionality exists?

Differently, but related I'd like to say that the current method for splitting sequences in the timeline is fantastic for my workflow.
ie.That the duration of notes are unaffected by a split.

If you select the part of the piano roll timeline you'd like to split out, right click and click 'Trim to played'
