Got my Interstellar Radio this afternoon. It's a fantastic noisemaker with no input at all, I guess a little bit like a Benjolin in some ways but also a bit like a complex oscillator that doesn't track 1V/OCT and does whatever it wants. You can get some really great sounding chord drones out of it, or clicks or weird little Morse Code bleeps or whatever.

It really loves a reverb, or a delay with a lot of feedback and some filtering, to take the edge off some and turn it into eerie soundscape territory.

It also makes a good source for Spectraphon in SAM mode. :D

Just need 14hp!!

I think my future involves swapping one of the 48hp pods for 84hp. 48+84 = 132 (128 if the 84hp box requires 4hp for power).

Looks awesome :tu:
Is it some kind of ambient drone synth?
It's a 4-part generative arp/MIDI controller for synths. It sends out four different parts, one for pads, one for drones, and two separate "motifs", which are basically highly configurable arps. It's designed for generating new ideas/noodling, hence the name NDLR. 8)

Here's a brief intro from their prototype stage:

Ok.
Then it is not for me since i am already covered with Bitwigs built in stuff + the Arp on my FA-06 and JD-Xi.

8) I'd forgotten all about this. Got side tracked looking at various "noise-makers" quite a while ago, like the Benjolin and some Error instruments and older Pittsburgh stuff. Finally settled on the uniqueness of the eurorack adaptation of the BASTL Kastle, and the Drum variant... but then your post made me remember this:

:tu: stuff

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

While I don't think I want to get into eurorack, a standalone sequencer is something that I wonder about adding to my workflow. The Deluge or the Squarp Hapax have nice features at least on paper. I really don't need anymore inspiration though, I have new song ideas almost every week.
I should just save up for a 3rd Wave.

Looks like some nice deals at Signal Sounds: https://www.signalsounds.com/

They’re having a store wide sale. If I didn’t already have Bim and Bam, I would gladly pick those up.

In the category of "what have I bought," I guess I own a crave for the time being. It's not been taken out of the packaging yet, it might go back. Ordered on a whim because Amazon had them below retail in a moment where I was thinking about the value of simple standalone synth/sequencers with sequence memory, but were then out of stock. I was going to revisit whether it was a good idea at some point, but then all of a sudden "shipping now, your crave."

I caved with the Moog equivalent, as a true completist. :help:

It’s actually a nice sound that I don’t have otherwise, even in the SE-02, so yeah… I’m keeping it. I think you have way more synths than me, so I’ll be curious to see if you end up keeping it (and adding on with Edge).

Keeping on topic, this is one of the new additions. $80 from Critter & Guittari. Brooklyn hipster outfit from the look of things, but I do like the mic. I got it to use with Push 3 and I actually like how it sounds!

That looks too hip for its own good. Every time I see one of these I drool. Then I remind myself that A) I'm not a very good singer, and B) I don't sing into mics much anyway, and C) I already have too many mics that I rarely use.

If I ever found one at some stupid price because the seller just doesn't know, I'd buy it anyway.

MD441 is a really nice mic and has such an awesome retro-futuristic look. I use one frequently for VO stuff, particularly when recording someone with a higher voice (where the trusty RE20-starts falling down). For some reason, vocalists always wanna grab the 441 by the grill, makes me cringe every time.

EV's 666 is another mic I love for it's looks but unfotunately, it does not sound as good as it looks, lol.

I've been curious about that Critter and Guitarri mic, I feel like it could be a great mic for feedback with small speakers. I like other C&G stuff I've used.

What got me interested in this one was the saturation when the mic gain was maxed. It makes it an interesting choice for recording.

I also picked up the Rode Podmic (USB & XLR) to pair with Push 3, but I think most of the time I’ll just use the C&G one, because its lighter, smaller and just easier to setup quickly. I do need to buy back-up batteries for it. I should do that before I forget

That saturation behavior is what interested me. I could connect it directly to my little DIY 5w amp without a preamp, for simple feedback experiments.
Could be another nice character mic, to use along side my Carbonphone too.

I’m guessing PC has a 10% off for 4th of July? Just saying… if you don’t mind black or grey, they’re carrying them, plus I think you have the luxury of demoing before buying too?
