Reading about the latency in MDrumStrip being "resolved" got me thinking: MTurboDelay has a couple devices that really introduce some significant latency, to the point where I can't use them for tracking. Is this also a bug?

Disable the antivirus? Whitelist the domain? Google search question?pgreyy wrote: Thu Jul 06, 2023 7:38 am My antivirus is preventing this latest installer from being downloaded.
Help?

Some of the delays in MTD use spectral processing, so it would not be possible to remove the latency for these. But there are plenty that do not, so for tracking you would need to limit yourself to those.Xantux wrote: Tue Jul 04, 2023 3:04 pm Reading about the latency in MDrumStrip being "resolved" got me thinking: MTurboDelay has a couple devices that really introduce some significant latency, to the point where I can't use them for tracking. Dragging (single drag or triple finger drag) on the trackpad causes instability in the increase or decrease of the dial and mini-slider.
This has been occurring since a minor version a while ago.
PS: Mouse dragging was equally unstable.
os:macOS Ventura
daw:Reaper6.80, LogicPro, Bitwig4
pc:MacBookPro2019 64GBRAM, Corei9, RADEON Pro 5500M
DrumStrip is very useful !

Dear ystmrk,
I have few additional questions.
- what do you exactly mean by "instability"? Can you describe in more detail?
- are you using latest 16.07 version, not beta? We did some changes between these versions.
- when using Logic Pro, do you run this DAW in Rosetta mode? Or does it occur in Rosetta mode under Logic Pro on your machine?
Anyway, you can always switch to previous "dragging" behaviour under macOS in any plugin in global Settings/Tablet mode.
- does your problem occur also with Tablet mode enabled?
You can contact me also directly at: martin@meldaproduction.com

Dear martin!
- The amount or direction of the drag is out of alignment with the change in the numerical value. For example, while dragging up, the value randomly decreases or increases.
(The cursor is not visible while dragging, so the screen record could not explain it.)
- Version 16.07. not beta.
- Tablet mode is off.
- I am using an intel model. It is not Rosetta.
p.s I use DeepL for a series of messages. Sorry for any problems with English grammar

Dear ystmrk,
in case you do experience any trouble with mouse drag under macOS Ventura, set tablet mode to ON in Plugin global settings (Settings/Tablet mode). This will revert to previous drag behaviour.
Next thing I do recommend, as you do you use Apple Logic Pro, is to run this DAW in Rosetta mode - there is still some open issues and Rosetta mode works fine.

Dear Martin,
Thanks for the information!
I was able to tentatively work around the problem by putting it in Tablet Mode.
However, the amount of operation is limited to the screen area, which is unfortunate.
My main DAW is Reaper. However, the same problem occurs with any DAW.
Rosetta2 emulation is an option for Apple Silicon models. It is not an option for my intel-CPU model.

Dear ystmrk,
thank you for the information too. I think I did find and fixed the cause of this behaviour, will finish the tests and you can expect the fix in the next release version soon. Till then please use Tablet mode. Of course, the operation will not be limited to the screen area and will work as expected.
