Yeah it says "unrecognized app" which doesn't really mean much other than they haven't verified that specific software. I don't know the specifics of how that works but if you're worried about it, a quick google should tell you everything you need to know
This wasn't an issue in past years until Windows 10 came along and they really made it a lot more annoying

I already asked this in another topic but this one seems to be more active so I'll try here if you guys don't mind.
I have been dealing with Arturia's customer support for like a week now, trying to get my licenses transferred to another user (Tape Mello-Fi, Filter MS-20, and stuff like that). They are refusing to go through with the transfer because those licenses were given away in free promotions.
Nowhere on their support page or website does it say that they don't allow those kinds of license transfer. Nobody else in this forum has ever mentioned that policy. Many people have reported reselling those licenses with no issues. ¿Has anybody have had a similar experience?

I can't link to any specific links regarding their rules, but just pointing out that in the cases of the people who have reported to have sold their promotional licenses; they would most likely have been licenses where they'd just kept the serial numbers for them and then just passed those on, when selling them. So they would not had have been registered in their account, like yours are.Gappar wrote: Wed Jul 05, 2023 4:01 pm I already asked this in another topic but this one seems to be more active so I'll try here if you guys don't mind.

I'm pretty sure that I did transfer freebie licences from my account in the past. Any freebies left can't be transferred though.Choikdoi wrote: Wed Jul 05, 2023 4:29 pm I can't link to any specific links regarding their rules, but just pointing out that in the cases of the people who have reported to have sold their promotional licenses; they would most likely have been licenses where they'd just kept the serial numbers for them and then just passed those on, when selling them. As they were free, I don't take issue with this.

Ah OK. Impossible to know exactly what and when a lot of things change in EULAs, as with any company. Just under 2 months ago I sold FX Collection after buying it 3 and a half months prior, but you said you were told (or you were under the impression) that things couldn't be sold unless 6 months had passed. They can basically make it up as they go along if they want, no one will challenge them (legally speaking)!agharta wrote: Wed Jul 05, 2023 4:34 pmI'm pretty sure that I did transfer freebie licences from my account in the past. Exception: Those who can spend $220 for a drive that us best used for archiving. I use desktops. Old drives replaced by a SSD are used in a drive dock and are archived according to developer.Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Mon Jul 03, 2023 6:19 pm I just bought a 14TB drive 2 months ago for $220 dollars. Unfortunately developers still think users are impressed with how much space something eats away.
The Sampletank structure is nothing like Kontakt where all libraries have their own folders and you can move them anywhere and they load up. Sampletank is a little more challenging on what files to move. ST and Syntronik Max eat over 800GB, I have Kontakt and Komplete U that takes up about the same space but with a lot more variety. These rompler developers need to come up with their own compression to reduce size.
Of course the simple solution is to buy less software an put it toward hardware.

$220 is a lot of money to me. People arguing that anyone can spend this money easily must have an extremely limited view of the worldkitekrazy wrote: Wed Jul 05, 2023 5:26 pmException: Those who can spend $220 for a drive that us best used for archiving. I agree. Not a fan of large external drives unless they are used for storage. One of those platters goes bad the rest can be useless. They don't have warranties like they use to. You can't stream samples from them because of the disk speed.milesdeem wrote: Wed Jul 05, 2023 5:38 pm$220 is a lot of money to me. So often if we avoid most of these deals like the $29 plugins most of that could be used for hardware.

I believe MS-20 filter was always this way. At some point less in the last 3 years I got an email and the option to transfer my Chorus and Tape went away. By dealing with customer support do you mean trying to talk them into letting you transfer? Because they have always provided me the best support of any plugin company for normal support stuff.Gappar wrote: Wed Jul 05, 2023 4:01 pm I already asked this in another topic but this one seems to be more active so I'll try here if you guys don't mind.

Yes, more often than not. Never an issue for me.igorius wrote: Wed Jul 05, 2023 6:36 am I'm surprised that everybody seems to get these a lot except me. Are we talking about the same type of warning message? I mean something like this:
