Unfortunately, the coffee place and the doughnut places are on different routes, so I chose caffeine and didn't get my team any donuts.
At least I got my Bitwig update for the year while it was on sale.![]()

They’re both accepted unfortunately for NYT crossword puzzle solving… One more thing with multiple accepted spellings.bilasta wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 6:40 pmI believe both spellings are accepted in todays modern language, the right one and the wrong onekperry wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 8:24 amNah...just over the bad spelling of doughnutsbilasta wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 7:23 amI assume you’re not in the UK, otherwise all your team would be on strike by now over the lack of donuts.idoru97214 wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 6:47 am Pulling this thread back on topic (cough cough), I wanted to let you guys know that today, on my way to work, I thought it would be nice to get my employees some donuts, but I also needed caffeine (it's been a LONG weekend). Well, it took a week, but the page has gone to page 404 now. I'm gonna bet that there's a fair chance that the Props will do another discount offer on this nearer the time before they pull the proverbial plug to have more people update to version 12.... The September 25th cutoff date is there for a reason... Pre-Black Friday sale/upgrade offers, and Black Friday sales of RE's end of November, and as they said on the page they had, Reason 13 won't be till at least some time in 2024.
Where the rest of you have all gone off-topic and getting fat on doughnuts, I'll carry on with my own thoughts. Sincce the mini-rack I acquired that I can put in Studio One, I've never actually used it on anything and neither does it ever enter my head to use these old devices. It's probably because more modern VSTs have replaced the need to use them, and most of the GUI's for RE's are super-ugly and can't be changed by the user.
Back in 2012/2013, I use to spend lots of time creating super combinators, re-skinning them with Photoshop and having lavishly complicated knob and button routing systems. From there I moved on to building Reaktor ensembles, which were massively more complicated and instruments themselves, albeit without a dot of scripting with code. I don't need to post them, you know where to image/videos of them. These days, if I want to bash out a track, I'll have a reason to do it and do a trance track in a few nights and be done. Having spent the past 27 years creating music of my own, I've never sold any of it, it's never been my aim, nor to become some sort of pop star DJ. I think that at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what DAW I use, the one that integrates into my brain cycles seamlessly, able to quickly do what I want without complications. In my years past of using Reason, I always found using the Rack to be a completely different mindset from creating a track. The rack was a distraction from creating music before actually creating music itself. A sort of invisible fence you had to keep hopping over each time. Sure, you could get over it with lots of practice, but there were other bricks in the workflow that tripped me, over and demotivated me from using Reason for a few years and that was down to basics that existed in other DAWs really.
Ok, that's my rant for the day, back to scripting work now...
