Big fan of DIVA. Discovered something this morning, and wanted to see if others have tried it.

The relevant background:
As I was building a new VEP template, I was trying to work out how to put multiple instances of DIVA into a single instance of VEP while maintaining the MIDI mapping I prefer (filter on CC 74, resonance on CC 71, vol on CC7, etc). VEP offers no facility to re-channelize incoming MIDI, so if I put DIVA on channel 1,2...etc in VEP, then I have to duplicate my MIDI mappings for every channel. It's a bit of a hassle and (more importantly) makes the CC list a big unwieldy mess. Nevertheless I was going to do it until, on a lark, I tried the following:

If I manually edit the MIDI mapping file in DIVA's plugin folder, and I set the channels for the mapped controls to 0, it actually works in OMNI. The controls respond on every incoming channel, which is what I want when I'm using it in VEP. Interestingly, the channel column of the mapped controls list in DIVA"s GUI says "Smooth", which seems weird. I don't see anything about it in the manual. But it works.

My questions: Has anyone else tried this? Is this a known function that is just not documented? Any reason not to do it? I might stick with the duplicate per-channel mappings just cause I'm nervous about relying on undocumented behavior. But curious to hear what others think.
