Samsung, Samsung (it is a fold, so same object), Garmin, Fiio, Nvidia Shield, [Bose, Anthony Gallo, Focal + a ton of raspberries making dumb speakers smart speakers], Apple.

I create my own ecosystem :-)...

That characterization makes no sense to me. I have hundreds of different types and sizes of drill bits for various situations. I never find myself sitting there "endlessly" using lots of them without purpose. I pick the right one for the job at hand and use it and all the others don't get in the way.

Having lots of modulation tools in my Bitwig toolbox is similar. The ParSeq-8 modulator is a particular tool that does stuff otherwise not easily done. I'm happy it's in the toolbox and when I am not using it, it is no kind of burden.

Y'all can check out the videos on this page for some of the stuff Mulab can do:

I know MPE is on the wish list, but no indication from Jo when/if it's coming.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

That's me, but that's the way it is.

Ableton is the only one that's never in the way, and Mulab (I recently started using it again) is where I get to play when I'm having some good time out in Manhattan's coffee shops :phones:

Of course, Reason is now Reason Rack!
I always find this odd. I'm not knocking it, just taking it in. I've jumped around a lot myself, and I can honestly say every DAW I've tried has some really great ideas and features. Mostly it's me, what part of the DAW pisses me off and makes me frustrated, that's what makes my choice. I've used Live for 20 odd years now and I love it and hate it. I love all the parts of it that are ergonomic, and hate the constant bowing to KISS it does with the un-assignable key commands, and in the past sheer amount of mousing you end up doing (though that's a lot better now). I love using Live for smaller projects it feels like nothing is quicker, I hate using is for larger ones, it feels like nothing is slower.
I hardly use more than 30 tracks so we are talking about small rather than large.
I don’t do orchestra or video. So Live is excellent for my work.
I used DP in the mid 80s (performer) and they even allowed me a decent upgrade price, nice gesture, but my needs are below its power.
I’m a pianist and I make music for pure pleasure when I get some brake from my business and in the weekends.

Let me add, S1 was ok for a little while and I tried Logic briefly after I’ve got my iMac but… nope!
Back to Ableton.

And highly recommend no to go there. You are doing fine as it is.

I’d have to say Ableton Live, it made me more creative than any DAW previously.

I don’t see drill bits anywhere in the Bitwig toolbox :o but if you do, enjoy picking the right one for the job at hand. No question about it. I manage with less tools in producing more (I’m guilty of many tools on my long music journey but I have a large closet full of them and I’m keeping the door locked).

Bye, Felicia! :D

And this planet is indeed a great placed to be. To bad we have to share it with other people...

On the DAW front, and I'm sure I'm unanimous in this, but It find Live cold and uninviting. It looks like an explosion in a box factory. Tiny grey boxes...

I might actually prefer Excel macros to Max!
