I don't see it that way. It would be shady if plugins were being sold that typically didn't work and a refund wasn't offered. But if the plugins generally work and they would issue a refund if there was a compatibility issue, I am ok with it. To me continous updates are added value but not necessary value. Supporting a demo or trial version is also helpful. It comes down to the customer and their own specific needs. I've purchased plugins no longer in development but that work fine even as I have updated my system and OS. So there is sometimes value there.

I just found this thread after trying to contact Ohmforce for a week or more in an effort to get my account transferred from my old e-mail address (which I no longer have access to) to my new e-mail address. Because I can't get into my account, I can't download the installer for Symptohm (full version, not demo), which I have the license for. Could somebody kindly send me a PM with a link to download the full version of Symptohm? I assume that this shouldn't be a problem, as I believe you still need to input your license info - again, which I have - in order for it to unlock it.

I am trying to install Symptohm on some old 32 bit Windows computers, where the demo works very nicely.

Thanks in advance!!

Exactly... inform your resellers, remove the buy button from your products and put a message on your homepage that you are no longer selling your products.

They are selling licenses to their products, the authorization to legally license their products isn't working and they are not responding to support requests. This has been the case for months now. Probably longer.

How is this not shady?

For any products that they sell but ultimately can not be authorized, yes that is shady. For products they sell that can be authorized and work on systems that meet their requirements, is not shady. Sort of obvious stuff. I was responding to blanket statements because it seems there are products they sell that are working. I personally dont care as I dont own any of them. By the time I found out about them plugins were more advanced and it seemed to me they werent being updated, so I never jumped in. Hope you guys get it sorted out one way or another.

none are updated for apple silicon so if you already have them installed there's no reason to reinstall them.

they work fine via the apple AU translator app.. so you can use the AUs but the VSTs don't show up unless you're running your DAW in rosetta mode. also, no VST3 support for windows users.

nice they made them legacy and free to download but a shame they couldn't update them. they still hold up imo and sound fantastic.

and Ohmboyz Infinity still doesn't work at all on MacOS apple silicon systems.

Ohm Studio ws promising, sad to see them go out of the loop.

Just go to Ohmforce website -> plugins then scroll down to all the free plugins. You'll have to log in to download Symptohm and whichever other freebies you want. Register a new account with your current email. I did (same situation as you, old account can't access). It's a simple process, you don't even have to confirm via email etc and your new account is created instantly. TBH I was expecting it to be more difficult. They give you an access code for each plugin on the website. Oh, and they're all 64bit too.

Symptohm never really interested me but I might give it a go...it's free now, so no reason not to I suppose.

Yep - got it. Thanks!

I can confirm they all work on Ventura in Rosetta mode

Yay. I love Ohmicide, but lost my login information a couple years ago. Sweet.

Ohmicide I think is crashing Studio One 6, anyone else have this problem? Ohmboyz classic and the other Ohm Force plugs which I've had for years does not.

Nice gesture either way.
