Hi all,
New to Mu, I have chords on one MIDI track and I'm composing a melody on another track. I'm hoping to be able to see the chords, while I'm laying out the melody (each on one of two different MIDI tracks).
Is there an easy way to view one MIDI track in piano roll (say the chords) while editing another MIDI track in piano roll mode (in this case the melody)?
As I say, I'm fairly new to this DAW, so I appreciate your patience!
Regards,
Roark
p.s. If there's not an easy way to view two tracks in piano roll mode stacked, so the bars line up, is there a way to show a non-editable "ghost" track at say, half intensity (of the chords, in this example), while editing the track with the melody in piano roll mode?

You can shift+doubleclick a sequence clip to open its editor as floating.
That way you can open multiple sequence clip editors together.
Then right-click the editor background there is a little tool "Copy/Paste Time Zoom" to sync the time line of 2 sequence editors.
Being able to edit multiple sequence clips inside the same editor, or at least have a ghost view of another sequence clip is on the wishlist.

This mentioned workaround works, although it is not ideal.
But anyway I asked for a selectable time-sync option, so that all open editors change the same way when I change time zoom in one of them. And a newly opened editor should start in this proper zoom-setting by default.
The same should be true for docked editors when simply changing tracks.
Beside a missing tempo-curve-track this asynchronous behaviour is the feature I miss most in my beloved MuLab-app!
