Thing is, she had other children. What about them?
Not gonna make this about me, but I attempted suicide twice in 2021. They were, admittedly, half-assed attempts. I found I couldn't quite push myself to make sure there was no point of return. It takes a mindset quite different than what I experienced to make sure you never wake up.
I knew, as soon as I read about her son's death, with her history, she'd do this. I am fairly upset about this, even though I wasn't a huge fan.
The world can be an ugly and cruel place. It eats souls like hers and is indifferent to the trauma and perpetual suffering. Childhood abuse such as she experienced…all I can say is, I understand. My parents should never have had that privilege.
mate the last 3 years i have lost hope the one thing that always keeps me going is hope i have grown to 266 lbs and haven’t had a girlfriend in almost 3 years now because my brain broke again
i have felt like what’s the point and a few people i know of killed themselves lately and i was like how do they do that “ i actually want to live but not like this way i am now , so maybe all the hope isn’t completely gone with us , and you have to hold on and build on that , but the childhood she has the humiliation from the pop industry and now her son , her hope must have all but gone out , like we said it may have been a mistake we don’t know it’s suicide yet but seems likely we will see , keep being strong my friend things can change .

Thanks.
In 2020, August, I got a prelim Dx of cancer. Anniversary is soon. That was followed by heart tests to see if I could withstand the surgery to remove the tumour. End September, 2020, tumour removed. Confirmed Dx 10 days later. Then into the hospital for 3 days for staging. Chemo began US election day, 2020. 5 months, including 2 stays in onco icu for a week each time. Radiation for a month.
That was all bad enough. Going through it with my immune system wiped out by the chemo during the pandemic, with my wife getting pressured to go back to the office sent me over the edge.
And, my family was extremely toxic. All I will say is that if the same shit had happened in this day and age, they would've lost custody and likely gotten criminal records.
I truly feel for Sinead and the suffering she experienced. As I do for all souls who've been crushed by unhappy, sadistic people. I've known my share of those, too.
And you keep on keeping on.

Further, re Sinead: I read that she was thrown into the Magdelene Laundries in Dublin when she was young. The truth about these places (run by, of course, the Catholic Church) was that they were run by sadistic women. I can only imagine the trauma she suffered there.
Know the truth and it shall set ye free….

Poor woman. If living for your children isn't enough, I don't know what is. I am really sad and pissed off, today. Now, everyone who thought her crazy may reconsider their meanness. At least, I hope so.

Alas, did not! At leas, not according
this review
of her documentary "Nothing Compares"
google translate wrote: It's an impressive film, despite two gaping holes.

The first hole is her biggest hit, the name giver of the documentary: in 1990 O'Connor had her worldwide breakthrough with 'Nothing Compares 2 U', a song by Prince. He wrote it in 1984 and also recorded it with the funk band The Family, one of the many satellite groups he had under his wing at the time. It was not a hit, but a few years later Sinéad O'Connor made the song big. Without his help. Prince's heirs have forbidden the documentary makers to use the song in the film and this has everything to do with the difficult relationship between Prince and the Irish singer. At first he publicly spoke positively about O'Connor's performance, but there was grumbling behind the scenes. Prince did not like that this singer did not operate within his power range. Then there was some hassle in the management corner and when the two finally met in person, they immediately fell apart. It never worked out and Sinéad O'Connor has spoken publicly about it so often that Prince's heirs don't think she's worth the number. It's improbably bland, but it's in the spirit of the purple tormentor, who often acted out of emotion himself.

Yea, it has been a sad day since this morning when I read about it. She absolutely defined what it was to have a great voice.

Everyone should petition the Church to make Sinead a saint.

She wouldn't thank you for that, I don't think.

RIP, Shuhada.

She might appreciate the irony.
