Anything about a GUI update for the VST3's or do they still require the VST2's stay installed??
My VST2 folder is almost completely empty now but still have to keep those damn Korg plugs installed or the VST3s come up with a generic slider GUI still.

Not a clue -- I use LPX so it's Audio Units all day for me.

VST2 is slowly disappearing on my computers. With Windows I use VST3 mostly and in Mac OS I use AU and VST3 (depending on host, Logic or Cubase). I do install the VST2 version however on both systems as some VST3 plugins depend on their VST2 version.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Well, I just jumped on this as I got a nice discount due to owning Wavestate and WaveMod Native. What an absolutely delightful set of instruments! This will keep me pinned to screen and keyboard for weeks. I always wanted to own a Triton but could never really justify the cost.. and at the time I already had a whole heap of similar category of hardware (JV-2080, Kurzweil K2000 etc).

Question: Is there any reason to install the classic Triton plugin when I already installed Triton Extreme?

Also, a little tip for Reaper users. Most of the legacy collection analogue modeled synths work with 16x oversampling. There are some tonal changes but always towards "better" in my opinion. The MS-20 and Polysix sound incredible at 16x oversampling and don't really kill the CPU either. Amazing!

I jumped on this as well, I wasn’t planning to buy any VSTs for a while but the classic sounds are great. I’ve installed both versions of Triton but haven’t tried Extreme yet to see the difference.

Does anyone know if Triton has multiple outputs in Combi mode? I can’t seemed to find an option for this.

Another question: Anybody know how to change the skin on the Arp Odyssey other than going through presets? Also, anybody know where to find the damn PDF manual for this thing.. maybe it's answered there?

EDIT: No.. looks like it's preset bound, at least according to the iPad versions manual that I found.

Thanks for alerting me to the sale! I grabbed it too, after wanting to upgrade from V2 of the collection for the last few years.

I had Trion installed for a year or two before Korg released the Triton Extreme. From what I've read over the years, the Triton Extreme may not necessarily have all the samples the original Triton did — but I don't know if that carried over to the plug-in versions. I know Roland and other developers had to modify (or remove) some presets in the software versions of their hardware synths due to copyright or licensing issues. Also, the same combis or programs might be re-arranged (or not available) on both, for various reasons.

I've found it a bit easier to find and edit what I want on the original Triton, but that may change now that I have the full version of the Extreme, too.

There doesn't appear to be an option for multiple outputs in any mode, which is odd, considering Korg already implemented it in the Wavestation and M1 plug-ins. There's no mention of it in the manual, on the website, or anywhere that I've seen. It seems like a serious oversight for a multitimbral synth, especially considering the original hardware had multiple outputs (though still not enough).

And the Electribe R plugin is multi-out like many drum sampler or synth plugins!

That is indeed a huge oversight if that's the case. Oh well, we can always load multiple instances of the plugin. I sort of prefer that anyhow.

That is odd for a multitimbral plugin, I expect its unlikely that Korg would add this now but can use 1 instance per track anyway.

It happened. Finally!

As good as it sounds, it was just a preset machine for me before.

Well I still haven't tested, let's hope they did it right :D

I much appreciate the GUI update (strangely no Asio option in the standalone on PC, whilst most if not all the others do), and I do wish it had like most of the others, an option to boost the output.
But at least I can see it now :)
