Ok thank you... will have a go at thismutools wrote: Sat Jul 15, 2023 3:22 pmIt currently creates an empty automation clip.bbreakz wrote: Fri Jul 14, 2023 11:13 am Does it take into account the current position of the parameter when it creates an automation clip? Like if it's at 62% or something?
But in the automation envelope editor you can drag-drop parameters to create new points with that dropped parameter value.

MuLab Plugin 9.2.12 beta for Windows is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html
What's changed:
MuLab Plugin 9.2.12 beta for Windows is available in https://www.mutools.com/mulab/plugin/la ... /beta.html
What's changed:
- New code to open / close VST2 and CLAP plugin editors.
Two advantages:
1) Enhanced compatibility with more plugins.
2) Opening/closing plugin editors is faster, how much faster depends on the plugin. - New protection against VST2 and CLAP plugins that crash during processing.
Upon such crash the plugin is automatically switched off and its process LED turns red.
Not all types of VST2/CLAP plugin crashes can be handled this way, but certainly many.
This also protects the whole project from crashing, which obviously is an important improvement. - Added other protections against plugins that misbehave, in order to keep the project running.
- CPU meter: In case of errors like a process error or overload, now this is indicated in a better visual way.
- Switching the power on/off for a VST2 plugin now also sends All Sounds Off + All Notes Off messages to that VST2 plugin so to cut all (hanging) notes.
- Project: MIDI Input Targets dialog: Now only the relevant target modules are shown, i.e. the ones that have an event input jack.
- Event List Editor now shows the clip's name in the window title bar.
- The Latency Generator and Patch Point modules have been moved to the new "Utility" group.
- MuLab Plugin now uses a better way to instanciate itself, which is faster and more solid in case the host uses a samplerate unequal to 44100 Hz.
- Various other improvements and polishments.

Just tried CLAP version of CHOWTapeModel and it crashed MuLab, though I was using MuLab App 9.2.11
EDIT: Just updated to MuLab App 9.2.12 and still crashing.
EDIT2: Seems it's the plugin as it crashes with the standard VST2 version too! I've emailed the dev to inform them of the issue, in case it is the plugin at fault.

I've had no issues with that plugin (on Mac Intel.) Maybe I have a slightly older version.sl23 wrote: Sat Jul 29, 2023 5:05 pm Just tried CLAP version of CHOWTapeModel and it crashed MuLab, though I was using MuLab App 9.2.11

I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

Everytime I open it's gui MuLab freezes and becomes totally unresponsive. I tried closing the plugin gui window and after some time, MuLab then responds again. Every time without fail.

Chow Tape Model works fine here with M9.2 on Win10. No GUI freezes. Indeed best to contact the dev and mention it only seems to happen on (your) Win11. Maybe something specific on your system?

Yes i just also found that it's related to using the window dock bar at the bottom. Will further reseach it tomorrow. Until the fix: I expect that if you don't use the window dock bar at the bottom but only use the plugin editor window itself then the issue does not occur.
NB: Nice musical vibe in that video

There is no way to close the VST GUI when it's opened the second time - that's why I minimize it to the dock bar.mutools wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2023 9:49 pm Until the fix: I expect that if you don't use the window dock bar at the bottom but only use the plugin editor window itself then the issue does not occur.

Simply avoid using that dock bar at the bottom. Use the edit nutton at the right of the rack slot, and then you can also use the window buttons again. But avoid the dock bar at the bottom until that one has been fixed.

P.S. It doesn't work - the VST Editor is being minimised to the dock bar even if I use the button at the right of the rack slot. And then when I close and reopen the main MuLab GUI the VST Editor disappears from the bottom bar but it's window is blank when I open it again.
