since when?
I don’t know. I abandoned it for over a decade and used a Kemper and then an AxeFX 3. It’s only recently that upon discovering Tonex that I felt a plugin could match or exceed my hardware, so I sold my Fractal and got Amplitube and Tonex Max, and it was there in the cabinet section. It’s also the only one I’m aware of that loads stereo IRs.

zerocrossing wrote: Mon Jul 31, 2023 2:53 am Agreed. Plus, you can get something that does both volume and filter in the same pedal,
vs. speed vs. footpedals: probably a thing of play style.
Guitarists seem to be more in a hurry than a untrained piano-dabbler ;)

i patch anyway in GigPerformer. I can -and do- create there morphs.
so, in my case, if i patch with filters, i also add a VCA to it, AND: would draw curvatures accordingly.
the good curvatures is allways, what makes this type of setup playable for me !
linear curves would not work for me. Unjammable

yet, i patch such setups just in front of delays !
but set it up in a way, that i can flip something, so i can use this fade-In play stuff also for normal (non delay-ed) playing.

You´d not do such setups outside of GP
Well, I guess I just feel like at some point if you can’t that your curves right manually, you’re using the wrong instrument. I’ll just switch to Equator 2 controlled by my Rise 49 if I want guitarish-synth types of sounds.

Thank you. I see that they recommend using a slow gear effect, which you can do with a gate set to slow release. You'll need a gap between each note for it to work properly but that's how it is with the pedal, too. The cool thing is it's easier to add that gap in software than it is in real-time, just slice the audio file, select the now individual parts, and drag them shorter. If you set the gate to super fast attack, you probably won't need to shorten them very much.

No, this here is about controlling a VCA or a Filter or both at the same time.
Thats here about the speed of the fingers or feet, and how "this" feels.
To make a manual control work in such a situation, are unlinear curves for control a win.

But if we talk curves vs. the single instruments or FX as such:
same: No, ....these tools are to big parts *not* developed out "into that detail" !
You know it, when you once have begun to create your own curvatures.
The more you do it, the more spots you find where it is applyable.
Giving back quite big takeouts.
Its a big if not a huge topic on its own. i stop it now, since its OT.
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

if you use Molecular Bytes Atomic Transient it will work in real time

Ah, Tonex. I get it now...

I don’t think Tonex has anything specifically to do with the loading of stereo IRs in Amplitube, it was just a catalyst for me to have another look at Amplitube as a software amp solution, and some of the Amplitube cabs… not so great, so I picked up some Ownhammer IRs, which all feature stereo versions, so I tried them and they worked.
