Or, not-so-poor folk. I don't have any real intentions of buying one of these, but I wouldn't rule it out. It's small, cheap, simple, and sounds good - that's a winning combination IMO. I recently bought a TD-3 and, even though it's by far the cheapest synth I own, it sounds great, does one thing (i.e., 303 sound) very well, it's fun to use, and I just stick it in the drawer next to my desk when I'm not using it.vurt wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2023 6:53 pm so please, tell me again, why there is an issue, with poor folk having fun?
But, to your point, I'm guessing that many or most of us started with simple and cheap synths. When I first started (early 80s), we had nowhere near the number of choices that people have today for entry level synths. I think it's great that Behringer, Korg, etc. are making hardware accessible to so many people.
