It may also be worth creating a clean user account to determine if this is really an admin account issue, or something that is wrong in your user profile.
You don't need another account to run as admin, it is an option in a context menu over any program.
Right. I was assuming he was logging in as Administrator, which is not what he said.

I'm not running my whole OS as admin, I'm simply right-clicking on the Ableton Live icon and choosing Run As Administrator.

It's probably related to the issues between Windows (11) and the latest Intel CPUs, watch this:

There is some talk about intel moving the I/O of the CPu out of the dye, that isn't true, good that this video didn't fell for that.

But yeah there is something strange going on.

I haven't read this whole thread but W11 very stiff about Read/Write stuff. I can't even access wave files from FL unless they are in (one) of the FL folders. The Intel thing is new to 11 also. Something called Intel Optane Memory & Storage Management that gave me fits when I first got my computer. Something about protecting the Cores from malware I think.

I went with R7950X W11pro because of Intels P+E arch in the end and AMD runs cooler, is still as powerful.
Soft Knees - Live 12, Diva, Omnisphere, Slate Digital VSX, TDR, Kush Audio, U-He, PA, Valhalla, Fuse, Pulsar AUDIO, NI, OekSound etc. on Win11Pro R7950X & RME AiO Pro

Yesterday I was listening to the Dawbench Radio Show with Vin Curigliano from Australia and Pete Brown from Microsoft.
Vin went on a rant about new Intel CPUs for a while during the 3 hour long podcast and mentioned how in Win11, CPU cores still park themselves even when you set Power Options to High Performance.
So... today I found a tiny app that lets you unpark all your logical processors called ParkControl from bitsum.com.
I tried Live 11.2 NOT as administrator before running this app and got horrible audio stuttering while playing a project and scrolling through a webpage at the same time, like I've had since I built this computer.
Then I ran ParkControl and set Parking AC to Disabled and tried to get some glitching and so far it's worked fine.
I'll have to test some more but it seems promising.
I've noticed that even though my CPU Temps idle in the mid 30s my fans have ramped up a bit faster than their normal almost silent speeds for a few seconds a couple times since ParkControl.
I'll run HWInfo for a while and see if it's one particular fan that's doing this. If so, I can adjust it's curve in the BIOS.
