The plugin not having an interface means I have to leave out a lot of features. I originally designed Hypersaw to be a one trick pony, just doing screaming sawtooth stabs, but apparently it does synth strings too. Here's a few patches that are not so obvious on how to make:

Edit: Oh this uses version 0.6, you should be able to match up the values or get a general idea

Ah you're getting some use out of the hypersaw? Nice. Hope it ends up in a project of yours.Deisss wrote: Fri Apr 21, 2023 12:02 pmAs for me, never heard of it; tried it, loved it! So keep it up!

website is back up but www.soundemote.com isn't functional.
https://soundemote.webflow.io/
I'll be posting all the info I have in the KVR threads here. That's where I will keep the info updated moving forward rather than the KVR thread. I will eventually remove info from KVR thread and just link to the website for efficiency and a much better way to present everything at a glance.

Redownload 0.71, however, I can pretty much already tell you I solved the unstoppable noise and it sounds as intended. The bigger problem is the UI does NOTHING... wait wtf.
WAIT!
IT WORKS IN FLSTUDIO NOW. Try again robindrieghe.

The link is incorrect. It leads to SoEmTubeOscillator not Flowerchild Filter.Architeuthis wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 1:26 am https://www.soundemote.com

Supersaw is finished, just need to do final testing.
Meanwhile I worked on the Hypersaw and added "phase range modulation" so it modulates the phase distribution which allows for some new sounds, and so I made a musical doodle to demonstrate:
SoEmHypersaw - phase range modulation (mp3)
Will be releasing both soon.
Edit: I'm going to bet that your workhorse synth can't do string pads better than SoEmHypersaw/Supersaw...

Here's another example of phase range modulation, so much potential, but a lot of that potential will be missing until I have a UI with more modulation options.
Edit: My original goal was to murder flangy-chorusy sounds in supersaws with prejudice, now I'm discovering use cases for it, going full circle and embracing it. When you use phase coherence with intention, you can do cool things. When you don't, you get standard crappy supersaws.

SUPERSAW IS RELEASED. Download link is in the first post. Let me know if you run into any bugs or crashes. Hypersaw was also updated to 1.6 with new controls.
Finally, I can show you what I meant over a year ago by an orchestral synthesizer. Almost everything you hear is from a synthesizer. Some of the percussion is synthesized. All of the strings/horns type sounds are all SoEmSupersaw. I threw in a little bit of Hypersaw as well and TubeOscillator.
SoEmSupersaw - Epic Synthwave Orchestra (mp3)
I realize the more I complete my goals, the more unexplored territory in synth design I find. In the years to come I may continue down this road of orchestral synthesizer to create a synth that can do all major orchestral instruments in a synthy-convincing way (not that it will sound like the real thing, it will just sound good in its own right.)

HMM... I suddenly have a craving for an additive synth. I'll take that out of the freezer, put in the oven at 300°F for a month.
My idea for an additive synth is that it's very easy to use. On top of some basic controls, the heart of it will be an algorithm selector, with say, 5 sliders. Then you can select the algorithm (a UI would allow chaining algorithms), only worry about those few sliders, and you get the sound you're looking for. The fun part is coming up with algorithm ideas, there's no limit. I need to take a look at how I made a synthesized hi hat for example, I might be able to make a hi hat algorithm (that almost sounds like the real thing) or an epic boom kick algorithm (see audio demos first post). This would take my music to the next level. I could replace my microtonic! And of course, algorithms for your standard plucks, basses, etc.
HMM! An additive synth with a hybrid focus on tonal and percussion. Now there's an idea.
