Unfortunately couldn't load it up on MacOS Mojave :'). Day by day the newest plugins force me to upgrade one of the most stable OS. What are your thoughts?

I'm on the latest OS (Ventura) and it is stable and I never think about it. I always wait 4-6 months after a new OS is released before updating and I rarely have had any issues.solit wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 11:32 am Unfortunately couldn't load it up on MacOS Mojave :'). Unlike every other plugin I license except a couple of old Rob Papen ones, it doesn’t scale properly in Windows 11.audiouser720 wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 11:03 am UA make a software synth that is quite possibly the best / most analogue sounding vst synth + They then decide to give it away for free + People still find something to moan about it = Plants are better than people
Is it worth trying to open a support ticket for this? I figure if I liked Polymax I might buy a license for Opal, but that isn’t happening now.

If you're using scaling in Windows, the UADx plugins won't scale properly. For them to work, your Windows scaling needs to be 100%, then you'd scale the UADx plugins from within the plugin menu. UA is aware of this. In fact, there have been some quite heated complaints on the Gearspace Spark thread about it.

I bought it and I like it. Others got it for free and have no appreciation for it.

There are countless threads with Mac whiners. You're only delaying the inevitable and holding up Windows development.

So true, but I don’t think that anyone is crying about the free plugin, they’re just using it as a platform to make their opinions known about UA.audiouser720 wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 11:03 am UA make a software synth that is quite possibly the best / most analogue sounding vst synth + They then decide to give it away for free + People still find something to moan about it = Plants are better than people
It’s confusing, because like you said, they got a lot right. I’ve said before that with a few additions, their instruments could clear my desk of some expensive and bulky hardware synths, which is my goal. I prefer working with software.
So, it’s not like a kick to the goalie who easily catches it. It’s the ball that hits the top of the goal and pops back to the opposing team. It hurts more because it’s so close to being great. Native Instruments does similar things. Stuff that sounds brilliant, but then lacks the most basic features of modern plugins.

At least I stopped cutting my wrists every month in the middle of a project since I quit using Windows in 2014 :B
This post was sent on a roughly used 9-year-old never formatted MacBook Air still with 4 hours of battery life.

Windows is child proof. Not sure what went wrong there. Could it be user error?

I received it for free and do like it, but it would be nice to have MIDI learn like others mentioned.Aloysius wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 8:03 pm I bought it and I like it. Others got it for free and have no appreciation for it.

I'm on Windows 11. I am not setting scaling to 100 percent to be able to use one free plugin. I am getting out of it a little more than I paid for it, because I now know that I won't spend money on any UA plugins unless they fix the scaling issue. I am not complaining about anything here.
