Hmmm, this might indeed be an option.
But yes, scrolling doesn't do anything on an EQ band yet.

I'm not sure if I'm experiencing a bug or have overlooked something but when locking setting they sometimes jump to minimum/maximum values. I would expected them to stay where they are.
Also locked parameters change while using the randomize function, I personally would like them to stay the same just like they act with presets.
A third thing I noticed is that you can't lock the clipper settings and they do change when randomizing so that when you use them for 'hearing protection' you can get some surprises. In my opinion randomizing shouldn't affect the clipper settings or you should be able to lock them.
But I know that clipper setting are also a sound design tool so I see why one would like them to change.
Loving the overall plugins by the way everything from UI to sound is so well done.

Agreed, Clipper and locked parameters shouldn't randomise. Not sure what it takes to prevent them to, but I'd like to check that out.
The Clipper should not be used for sound design per sé as its settings are not saved with preset.

Oh, maybe you mean the graphical EQ?Hanz Meyzer wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 9:32 amWhat exactly works over there? When you move the pointer over a eq band handle and then use 2 finger scroll wheel gesture on your mac, it changes the Q factor? What system exactly do you have?pdxindy wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 6:26 amScrollwheel and two finger trackpad scrolling both work here...Hanz Meyzer wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 6:23 am I have some suggestions regarding the FilterscapeVA:
- Maybe the EQ Q-factor could be changed with the two fingers scroll gesture using an magic trackpad (so scrollwheel I guess)?
Here on my M1pro monterey 12.6.1, it neither works on the internal trackpad nor the external bluetooth magic trackpad. But of course scrolling pages works elsewhere normally.
I was talking about the Q knobs

No worries, I simply reinstalled the old version, registered it, deleted Presets folder, and installed v1.5.tasmaniandevil wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 5:58 am Old licenses will still work, it might be a typo or some other glitch.

Any plans for displaying incoming and/or outgoing audio for the EQ sections? At least for the Q6?
I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies.

I know. This is a great synth. FS V1 is one of the first plugins I ever bought. And you’re right about the note expressions. Still, if poly mod was possible this would be the perfect addition to BW. It still is excellent and I’m stoked. Thanks u-he!pdxindy wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 2:42 pm Filterscape VA 1.5 is a huge sonic improvement over the older version of the synth. It sounds great! A simple synth with a mostly 1 page interface. The filter sounds stellar! And with the Snapshot EQ, it is unique. A powerful sound design tool and very light on the CPU.

PolyMod would be amazing for Filterscape VA cause lots of parameters cannot be modulated in the synth itself so it would make a big difference.
It's great to see the Note Expression support... not only for F-VA, but cause it means it will eventually show up in the other u-he synths

I did experiment with that, but in the end it was one of the things that weren't good enough so it did not (yet) make it. I'll try again, but can't say when.Elevated_being wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 7:37 pm Any plans for displaying incoming and/or outgoing audio for the EQ sections? At least for the Q6?

Now I'm curious about the note expression feature. This sounds really great, as I'm using Bitwig.
If Note expressions already give you per-note pitch, timbre, pressure then it's already very much what I'm expecting from MPE. But then, why wouldn't MPE support be possible? To me it sounds like there could be a generic Adapter that converts MPE mode MIDI to single channel MIDI with note expressions?

The voice management in FilterscapeVA dates back to Zebra 1, which 20 years ago was designed without the concept that mono and legato modes could be played polyphonic across channels. It did however support Polypressure/PolyAT. And Note Expression support In FilterscapeVA has more in common with PolyAT than with MPE.
The main issue is that the voice management does not make decisions based on MIDI channels. If a NoteOff comes in, it'll release the voice playing that note that was triggered the longest time ago, regardless of whether channels match or not.
Adding that is not a piece off cake, and unfortunately we can't simply transplant it from our other synths which support the feature.

100% for mouse wheel controls Q.
and what's the chances of sidechain inputs controlling the EFs?
finally I know previously you said it was surprising difficult to implement but the bypass button in Cubase don't work.

First, thanks for reviving this special plugin for us. I’m excited to use it as is.
Just can’t help but wondering if you will eventually upgrade the framework to use poly mod or if that’s something just to expect from future designs.
