Could it have more LFOs down the road?
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Post

Would be useful to have the Arp Mod available even when the Arpeggiator is not being used. Like the Step Sequencer in Filterscape!

Post

Would be useful if the Snapshot EQ knobs were automatable. But I suppose because each can be per snapshot or global makes it complicated.

Thanks...

Never posted music links on KVR... Probably will at some point. :)

In the meantime, here are a few more Filterscape VA sounds. These sounds are using the osc's as exciters for the filter with self oscillation.

b) BWS conceptually has Timbre as a bipolar expression, but in CLAP "Brightness" is unipolar. Such that in BWS, somehow - and in my observation not fully predictably - Timbre results in a default Modulation of +50% for CTRL A even if in BWS it is at the zero-Marker. To get 0% of CTRL, one needs to set Timbre in BWS to -100%. This IMHO is an inconsistency in how BWS uses CLAP's Note Expression.
Yes this confused me for a while, because it seems that plugins handle this very differently, even when just being MPE compatible. MPE Timbre is meant to be a bi-polar expression, but of course the actual midi cc is 0-127, so the no-modulation point is 64. Bitwig just assumes that plugins understand this, so positive modulation is 64-127 and negative modulation is 64-0. However a lot of plugins don't understand this and simply have timbre as a normal uni-polar modulation, meaning that playing a note in bitwig, or with an MPE device (depending on the mode), sends an initial modulation of timbre to an instrument of 50%. Many devices allow you to set the timbre to be uni-polar (in just one direction like up, or in both directions being positive). But Bitwig itself, for example using the on screen note grid, only sends the default no modulation as +64. The ideal thing is for the plugin to either have unipolar or bi-polar modulation options for its modulations, like equator and some others do. But my workaround for those that don't, is to use a transfer module in Bitwig's note grid to either transform the 64-127 to 0-127 by going -100% to 100%, or if I want uni-polar in both directions, going 100% to -100% and then -100% to 100%.

But I'm confused by the comment about Brightness being unipolar in CLAP. When I map timbre to a parameter in Fluctus CLAP, in modulates in a bi-polar way, with value of 64 equaling no modulation. Or is that using mpe timbre as opposed to note expression brightness? Can CLAP use either and it's uni-polar if note expression or bi-polar if mpe timbre? Sorry if I'm getting this completely wrong.

CLAP defines the NoteExpression called "Brightness" to be unipolar. It goes from 0 to 1.

Bitwig maps its "Timbre" to CLAP's "Brightness". This is where it's weird, because it's bipolar -> unipolar.

We map CLAP's "Brightness" to our "CTRL A". This is a unipolar -> unipolar mapping.

Note that non of this has anything to do with MPE.

That said, I do not mind adding an option to make the mapping of CC74 in MPE mode bipolar once we fully support MPE. But that's another project we'll be starting after finishing CLAP.

If you're too lazy to do a sound set, maybe just through them in a zip and upload to the patch library. ;)

I always enjoy your clips.

Same here, I really enjoy your aesthetic in sound design. Particularly your Bazille patches!
