No Plugins installed Windows11

Hi,
I recently migrated to Windows 11. Fresh install.
I downloaded 16.08 and wanted to only install the VST3 plugins.
The folder C:/Program Files/VSTPlugins/MeldaProduction was created but is empty.
Installer is reporting no error or anything else.
The installer does also not allow me to change the destination folder.
Uninstaller is successfully installed to C:/Program Files/MeldaProduction/Audio Plugins 16
When doing the quick clean up it tells me also that no plugins are found.
Any advice on this?

I tried both - but the path is not changeable and the destination folder is empty, no matter if i run the installer "normally" or explicitly as adminsteve2KVR wrote: Tue Aug 08, 2023 5:22 pm ...did you install as a "user" or "admin"...determines the location/permissions

Hi, Same issue here on Windows 10...
Used uninstaller after unsuccessful install. cleared registery restarted
Ran downloaded installer again as admin, closed all apps and made sure my DAW wasn't open as per instructions.
Still no VST .dll files visable or AAX for pro tools present.
Any help appreciated

Same here on Win 11, although I didn't try admin. Never needed to for MP. Reverted to 16.07 which still works.

That's not the default location for VST3, that's the default location for VST2's.
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
32-bit VST3 plug-ins on 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3

Add one to the list. I may try the 16.07 though and see if that works.
Just for reference, I think something funny might be happening on the VC runtime install. It doesn't seem to actually complete the installation. Just comes up and closes.

Same here on both of my Windows 10 systems. I let the Quick Cleanup run and that's the last I saw of Meldaproduction plug-ins.
Tried the usual pas de bug; restarted the computer, downloaded the installer again. No go.
The installer creates the empty folders (or maybe just leaves them in place), but no .vst3 files get installed. It looks as if the infrastructure files in ProgramData does get installed.
On another system I tried running the installer without letting it clean up the old plug-ins first, and when the installer completed, the plug-ins appeared in my DAW's with 16.08 showing as the version, but the .vst3 files are all dated 6-27-2023. That seems suspect. I haven't tested them thoroughly to say whether there are any issues.
I sure do hope this gets sorted soon.

I looked through older posts and see a very similar thing where it looked for C++ redistributable and something or other caused it to not install to the VST/Melda folder
