Launch Control XL, anything better?

When I picked up Ableton and decided to tackle learning a DAW I also grabbed a Launch Control XL. I know a lot of people don't find much use for one but for me it is everything. I use it for device control, automation and mixing. I was considering purchasing a second unit to dedicate to device control as it is a big headache to try to do it all on one. I wonder if there is a better or more "pro" grade device that offers that least what the Launch Control offers as far as Ableton integration is concerned and possible better faders and knobs. I don't dislike really anything about the unit. I've never had endless encoders so I can't say what is better but I can afford better if it exists so I thought I would ask. Thank you.

I have a lunchpad pro and have been eying the launch control as an addition. I think they would complement each other. As I get to know the Launchpad more it has the ability to do what the launch control but in a different way. You don’t get the knobs and sliders for the tactile feeling when adjusting the parameters.

I’m also eying the Control XL and I don’t think there’s anything « better » in its class. Akai APC mini looks to aim at the same tasks but not as elegantly. I think of 2 controllers which could be better : a Control XL mk3 (update as they have done with launchpads and keys, and other « surprises » I can’t think of) and a controller based on the Circuits designs (this one could add an arpegiator and a step sequencer !). Alas they don’t exist yet.

Well if you do end up choosing a launch control I bought a refurbished unit from Novation last black Friday and it's been working just fine since. The discount was pretty good. I do also use a launchpad and launchkey and they all work fine together.

For better faders you have to go for much more expensive stuff, and I am not sure if it is worth it, there is the Faderport 16 and 8.
there is a couple of options like the nektar panorama and the Studiologic SL bu they are not supported by Ableton out of the box.
