I guess you'd call this kind of a pop showtune.
The Endless Sky
And to my ears your singing is improving more and more. At some occasions in the past I thought I was able to here some "rust" on the vocal chords. But not in this song.
Only writing this because it immediately came to my mind while listening ... I feel little uncomfortable writting about someones singing as a guy that does not dare to sing at all ...

9th track from my upcoming CD "Box Full Of Nothing"
Moody and strange production on this one.
Lost In The Vapors
Wandering aimlessly
Thinking back to happier times
Longing for you shamelessly
Regretting all my terrible crimes
I can't expect you to forgive me
I know things can't be as they were
I guess all I can hope is that we
Don't get lost in the vapors
All regrets that I have
They never will go away
Times were good and times were bad
What the hell else can I say
I know you probably will forget me
It's inevitable as it were
I guess all I can hope is that we
Don't get lost in the vapors
There's a whole big world out there
That doesn't know who we are
The truth is they don't care
That we only got so far
And so our paths have come to this
There's choices that we have to make
We never will have wedded bliss
Cause God knows that would be a mistake
But maybe we can be friends
And be civil to a fault
This should be the way it all ends
You and me
You and me
You and me
Lost in the vapors
Repeat Bridge
Repeat Last Verse

Hey Aaron, I can't believe I missed this. Things have been so crazy here this month. Thanks for the listen and the feedback. I was wondering why I still hadn't seen a new track of yours posted. I'm heading over there now.aaron aardvark wrote: Thu Jul 13, 2023 5:12 am wagtunes,

10th, final and title track from my upcoming CD "Box Full Of Nothing"
Classic Wagtunes
Box Full Of Nothing
You can open it up
You can look inside
You can feel around
This is what you'll find
A box full of nothing
Nothing's what you'll get
A box full of nothing
And you ain't seen nothing yet
Doesn't take up much space
It's a real mystery
If you look inside
This is what you'll see
Repeat Chorus
You may wonder why I keep it close
It's hard to explain
But this box full of nothing
Takes away my pain
Instrumental Break
So all the many things
Can't replace this box I've got
It may be empty inside
But for me that's quite a lot
Repeat Chorus

wagtunes,
"Box Full of Nothing": now I am curious about the lyrics. Is it actually a box you that you own? It represents something? The box looks nice from the outside? Feel free to elaborate if you wish. I agree it is classic wagtunes. Piano carries the song. I think the start/stop/short breaks are effective. Vocals are good. The melodies are good, and so is the audio quality, per usual. Nice song and recording!

Actually, the song itself came from the theme of the album which I titled Box Full Of Nothing. It's basically songs about emptiness and related things.aaron aardvark wrote: Sat Jul 22, 2023 8:50 am wagtunes,

Check the titles of the 10 songs.
It's In There
Vanishing Act
The Missing Piece Of The Puzzle
Whistling In An Empty Room
Groovin On The Void
A Big Hole In the Ground
The Endless Sky
Desolate Dreams
Lost In The Vapors
Box Full Of Nothing
It's a theme CD and I think a pretty well thought out one. So no, Box Full Of Nothing isn't any special box I own. Just a cool idea I came up with.

wagtunes,
OK, I figured there was a high chance it was something symbolic, or similar.

I heard from my group[ today. Sometime either late this year or early next year my next album of songs is coming out.
Here's the list and below are the tracks (my versions). Can't wait to hear what they do with them.
THE BURN
SIGHT TO BEHOLD
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
HALLOWEEN HELL
KICK IN THE HEAD
ITS ALL ABOUT ME
THE DRUGS (Renamed to Monkey On My Back)
WHAT WAITS BELOW
YOU DON'T LOVE ME
STAR WANDERER

wagtunes,
Now listening to "The Burn": the song has very nice melodies. I like the drums and percussion. Nice electric piano(?) and keyboards. I wish I could hear your mystery group.

wagtunes,
Listening to "Lost in The Vapors": I noticed you seem to have experimented with distortion on some of your recent songs? Interesting and cool distorted piano sound; very nice piano riffs. Electric bass (Modo Bass?) is working very well. All melodies are very good, per usual! Vocals are well sung. I like the low pitch and high pitch strings. A different sort of song for you (in my opinion), and it turned out really well!

Thanks Aaron. Yes, Modo Bass 2 actually. Has some cool additions. Yes, I do try to experiment when I can and not just do the same old same old all the time. Thanks for the listen and the feedback. Much appreciated.aaron aardvark wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 6:29 am wagtunes,
