So you stopped counting, didn't you ?
Should have read this thread before I bought a licence and biotek to come back to music after decades of not making music.

no, I will count further
But, I want to clarify. I love Tracktion Waveform, but it seems to be the only way to pay attention to the global errors of the program. I think that with such capabilities, with such a price, and in my opinion, almost on enthusiasm, developers create one of the most advanced products, unfortunately not devoid of bugs. But, who does nothing, only he is not mistaken. The fact is that in my opinion this bug pulls a lot of other bugs and fixing it TW will be an order of magnitude better, as other errors will go away. For me, this is bug #1, which cannot be circumvented in other ways.
Therefore:

Yes, I shoot myself in the foot. Are there other ways to pay attention to this? I think all the others have already been used

Only a tiny fraction of the users of the software are likely to be reading these forums. Chances are that 99.5% of those who are going to learn of this from your posts already have, or will do so in spite of multiple postings per week, and the majority of the software's users will never notice the problem in the first place so will never learn of this and may not even care.nowgad wrote: Mon Aug 21, 2023 12:49 pm Yes, I shoot myself in the foot. I understand wanting to keep this alive, and I agree it is a valid concern for many and should certainly be fixed, but other than filing tickets directly with support, I don't know that there is really more to be done.

Strange reasoning, and the problem is not in your statement, but in the reality of what is happening. On the official website, this forum is listed as an official community. Ignoring the developer's forum at the same time is more like a behavior policy. I can hardly imagine a large and profitable community that you can safely close your eyes to. The conclusion automatically suggests itself, either we have a by-product for advertising the capabilities of the programming language and earnings are a pleasant, but optional bonus, or sales are so small that no one is trying to somehow revive the product, theoretically the Waveform project is alive, but in fact its condition is a deep coma and life glows in the body exclusively on the artificial respiration device, the development of innovations by an enthusiast who is not paid so much that he would shovel the code from the beginning, putting things in order there.fde101 wrote: Mon Aug 21, 2023 1:19 pmOnly a tiny fraction of the users of the software are likely to be reading these forums.
I tried to work in the program again yesterday and the amount of inconvenience was so much hammering my psyche that I felt my teeth begin to crumble into dust. This sincerely made me think - and not look in the direction of someone else from the daw being developed? Here, honestly, I see the need for the program as a maximum of free rendering of plugins, and those work mostly on versions 10 \11 with varying success, even fewer plugins work on 12.
The only reason why I personally, making my way through the gullies, persistently try to ride this exuberant English stallion, for most musicians is outside the range of their interests - working with super high frequencies. If I find a replacement for these features in another program, I will leave almost without thinking.

Don't be mistaken @nowgad, I love Tracktion, I think I was among the firsts french users. I even translated the interface at one point. I just wanted to come back to it to make beats for my son who's a pretty decent rapper, and enthusiastically bought a licence an biotek and collective. And they do not work on Ubuntu.

We all love Tracktion Waveform. But, we also hate the bugs of this program.
This should be an incentive to become better, not a reason to cry.
Bugs will disappear, and I will not support this post.
