"Sock puppet" account? That must be more inane forum jargon that only the Masters of KVR are privy to.machinesworking wrote: Mon Aug 21, 2023 7:36 pm I also will always wonder what kind of chemical imbalance makes someone think they're right in the face of public ridicule, and create sock puppet accounts to come back over and over again?
Perhaps consider taking a few entry level community college Philosophy courses to improve your critical reasoning skills. At the very least they would help improve your writing abilities (although this is an incredibly low bar to strive for based on what you've posted so far). This way you won't come across as such an uneducated, spiteful blowhard who is psychotically obsessed with conspiracy theories.
FYI, you'd be amazed at what you can accomplish in life if you would only apply yourself rather than waste your time blathering on KVR like a complete nutter.
Just something to consider.

You have nothing to say about my point that software instruments are a very risky and for the most part foolish investment? Unless a company has an established history of providing exemplary customer service like Spectrasonics, be prepared to be f*cked in the ass without lube as soon as some scumbag Private Equity firm comes along dangling gobs of cash with absolutely no concern for doing what's right by the company's customers.machinesworking wrote: Mon Aug 21, 2023 7:36 pm I also will always wonder what kind of chemical imbalance makes someone think they're right in the face of public ridicule, and create sock puppet accounts to come back over and over again?
Which side of the divide is u-he on? When the owner of the company can't (or won't) state basic performance stats that every other music software company in the industry has on hand, it doesn't inspire a lot of confidence that u-he has its customers' backs.
Let's just assume for the moment that I am a heavy user of Diva and Repro and want to know which platform offers the best bang for the buck. But then the owner of the company is too much of a coward to divulge this information. He's either an incompetent business owner, a con artist, or has some other agenda that doesn't benefit customers.
EDIT: It's time to either put up or shut up. Urs, if your company is doing so poorly that you can't afford a $1,000 plastic piece of shit Acer laptop with a 13th Gen Core i9 13900H processor to perform basic performance testing of your plugins, I will personally buy you a $3,000 15" Dell XPS laptop with the OLED touchscreen, a 13900H processor, 64GB of RAM and a 1TB internal NVMe drive.
PM me so I can arrange payment and delivery.
Anyone else who wants to judge me can politely f*ck off.

I occasionally read KVR threads when I'm EXTREMELY bored such as when my girlfriend is watching an idiotic Reality TV show. KVR has always seemed to consist of the same 10 low rent blowhards bickering about the same 10 stupid things. It really is just a virtual sewer for every dirtbag lowlife on the Internet to crap out his venom. KVR makes X (aka Twitter) seem like a paragon of civility by comparison.
But I felt compelled to join after reading this particular thread. How is it possible that "Phantom Menace" was banned when he simply wanted to know comparative performance metrics regarding Diva and Repro on Apple Silicon vs. 12th Gen Intel Core i9 12900H processors?
From what I can tell he was relentlessly attacked by u-he fanboys for asking such impertinent questions. For God's sake, he offered to buy u-he a high end Windows laptop to perform their testing. How much more gracious and selfless can a person be?
But even the owner of u-he, Urs Heckman, wouldn't give him a straight answer even after this offer. What's up with that? I used to be a huge fan of u-he, both the company, its founder, and its excellent products. But if you blow off good faith customers then I really don't want anything to do with you, your company, or your products. There are plenty of substitutes that sound just as good these days.
Okay, maybe Phantom Menace's "theories" regarding u-he selling out to Apple were way off base. But when the owner of the company is being suspiciously cagey, that's a valid conclusion to draw.
Urs, you are in fact a cheapskate coward as Phantom Menace has stated if you are unprepared to answer basic questions regarding whether he should buy an M1/M2 Max MacBook Pro or a 15" Core i9 13900H Dell XPS if he/she wants optimal performance when running the VST3 versions of your company's flagship plugins, i.e., Diva and Repro.
I too would like you to provide such comparative stats as I am considering building an Intel Core i9 13900K tower or perhaps wait for the likely far more expensive "M3 Ultra" Mac Studio.
Why can't you provide any guidance in this matter beyond vague comments that "u-he plugins perform exceptionally well on Apple Silicon"?
Is this any way to run a company whose plugins are held in such high regard?
Moderators: Feel free to ban me if you think I've created a "sock puppet" account. Don't worry, I won't be coming back to KVR. The putrid stench of obfuscation and idiocy is truly more than I can bear.
Oh, btw, I also created a fairly recent "Philosopher King" Gearspace account that for all I know is currently active and in good standing. I haven't logged in for a while because the unmitigated hatred from the pathetic incels was unrelenting.
For better or worse, none of the dimwits on Gearspace realized that "Philosopher King" was meant as a joke. I suppose I wrote one too many high school and college papers on Plato's various theories that I thought everyone would be in on it. My apologies for being an overeducated coastal "elite" who attended top undergraduate and graduate schools and who has done very well in life as a result.

Just in case someone might learn something: Making multiple accounts is against KVR rules, especially when doing so to evade a ban.
This Ex Machina guy was banned a few weeks ago and keeps coming back for more, but he doesn't seem to realize how distinctive his writing style is, particularly the ways he likes to denigrate people. It's really obvious it's him. Really, really obvious.
Then again, I can't imagine this thread will stick around much longer.
I hate signatures too.

The beauty is that such individuals are imprisoned in their own (small) mind and they will never escape.

Exactly why I didn't respond to this sad sack the way that I do to other people here, it must be just miserable living in that world, and it's hard to take someone seriously that is that spaghetti brained.liquidsound wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 4:04 am The beauty is that such individuals are imprisoned in their own (small) mind and they will never escape.

I guess it is because you didn't read the whole thread.
This guy is very funny though....
And the fact that he invents characters who "only go to kvr when girl friend is watching stupid things on TV " shows about his sad vision of the world ...
