A lot of developers seems to want to offer a full suite of mixing tools, so we see a lot of the same hardware being emulated over and over for classic gear, and many different takes/twists on standard audio tools. I can understand the thought process for the developers, it makes sense. That’s how it seems to me at least.

How about 60 band to begin with and then use 400 of it in series?

with one slider per band, no edit screen, "knob per function" or nothing!
