Yep. Typical Arturia synth really, I always had fun demo'ing them. Sounds quite good to me too, especially when you crank up the distortion (tube algorithm works best for me).

The sequencer is excellent. Arturia really know how to do that kind of thing.

it's pretty annoying that the sequencer doesn't start playing when i press play in my DAW. i hate that i have to press the hold button then trigger it via midi or press a step to get it to start. i know it's the way (all?) some of the other 303 emulators work but i think it's dumb. makes it more difficult to use in some environments since it won't just auto sync to transport when i start the transport of the DAW. annoying enough to be a deal breaker for me.

edit: midi out works fine though and is fun. still annoyed by lack of auto sync. my own cross to bear apparently

I'm most interested in the sequencer. The sound quality in the video is a bit "brash" somehow. Maybe it'll sound better when oversampling a few times?

Though to be fair, if I want the 303 in analogue format I have the super cheap Behringer clone lying around and that thing can really scream.. so mainly this one would be for the sequencer. Anybody know if the Arturia 303 sends out the slide and accents in a format that the Behringer 303 can understand?

also, couldn't get midi out to work. no hints in the manual. shrug.

Not sure which DAW you use, but in FL Studio i can just send the midi from the sequencer (incl. velocity/accent) to another instrument.
Also, i am glad this sequencer ISN'T 'auto starting'. Not a fan of that at all. With this sequencer it is easy to modulate starting times and pitch. Great stuff, imho

I also have that horrible plastic clone, and too lazy to connect it up. But I must say, the sequencer fed into another soft synth, is just ... amazing.

Hmmmm...now that's a very interesting thought. I also have a Behringer TD-3 and TD-3 MO, so Acid V didn't really appeal to me. But, if its MIDI out could replace the TD-3's sequencer, that might make it worth the loyalty offer.

I'll download the demo tomorrow and see if I can get it's MIDI output to work with the Behringer. I'm not exactly sure what the Behringer 303 responds to in terms of accents etc but I know it sends them out and can itself react to it.

.. so it could be really valuable for Arturia to make it work with the crappy Beh303 as I assume they've sold a shit ton of these.

So one confirmation of midi out in FL Studio ( as opposed to midi clip drag and drop). Has anyone got it to work in Ableton? Live is not brilliant at midi routing.
