I agree. They have the ability to become one of the top reverb solutions on the market if they can get past their issues.

I'm still downloading all the rooms. On day three still even with a good download manager (IDM). Each download segment is going at about 25k per second. They are not taking the distribution seriously enough even after several years.

I suspect other companies will soon see that us customers really like the sound of their reverb and come up with a more professional plugin offering without all the download issues and remaining bugs. Although the bugs are much less now from what I'm reading. They just need to optimize CPU and memory usage mostly now. And perhaps allow all instances a shared central management window.

The question of how sources and routing work in the pro version are still a topic of debate and limitation it seems as well depending on DAW used. So that is the other area they need to make smoother for many users it still seems.

But overall it's a bargain at $90 for the SQ and number of rooms (50) you get.

Yeah it's not without its issues.

One of the Devs is active over on VI control and said they were experiencing unprecedented demand and were trying to bring more resources online to deal with the amount of people trying to download the files.

I had similar 25kish speeds when trying to download it yesterday but tried it today with Jdownloader and I was done in less than an hour.

Their bespoke downloader is next to useless. Didn't work at all on Firefox or Safari but "worked" on Chrome. When I say worked I mean downloaded about 4 or five rooms and partially downloaded or failed the rest.

Not what I would call smooth.

Performance/bugs wise I was pleasantly surprised by how well it performed. No particular issues even with multiple sources.

The routing in Pro Tools is not exactly intuitive and there is little to no support as to how you set it up. For normal stereo output it involves setting up a surround Bus with sub paths to represent each source send and then folding the output of the bus into stereo.

Thankfully once you set it up it's easy to recall on subsequent sessions.

Overall for the price the good far outweighs the bad. The quality and flexibility is outstanding.

JDownloader2 for the win! Super fast. Like 30 seconds to 1 minute per .room file. Way better download manager than IDM speed wise. So maybe it's an incompatibility with their server setup vs the downloader chosen. I'm pulling down at like 80-95mb/sec. That's the full utilization of 1GB fiber. So that's pretty stellar actually. I'd forgotten all about JD2. Hadn't used it in years. But still had it installed. Just had to click the update icon in the top of right of the icon bar. Thanks for the reminder on this one.

Xils Lab PolyM Polymoog Emulation sounds very good. Much better than the Cherry Audio version. Much better than the PolyMoog Kontakt Library I have. $49 at JRRShop. Very tempting.

It is a different 4 or so plugins every week. The rotation probably takes 3 months with the number of plugins they produce. They discount each plugin 7 or 8 times a year, keeping within the 'legal definition of a sale'
(4 + black friday + christmas + summer)

well i tried the usual suspect of antivirus and firewall, turned off, then was able to set roompack directory, all seems ok now even with antivirus and firewall on.. phew.. now to have some fun..

So the Rooms have to be downloaded one by one? I looked for a Inspirata downloader and cant find one. I looked at J Downloader but the links open something called MEGA...this means more reasearching to make sure thats okay
