Will it work in Tracktion? I've installed it, but after scanning, it just doesn't show up in Waveform 12.

Did you get any error notice when you scanned?
Remember our conversation about blacklisted plugins? I suggest you take a look at that file once again.

I've used it in the past with no issues. Did you scan for vst3 files as well? That's a separate process, as you probably know.

I have Izotope stuff that I don't use much, but it has always worked no problems.

iZotope is one of the companies whose plugins have been trouble enough that I just gave up on them and moved on. I owned Trash 2 and I had a couple of their free ones. I don't know what part of my system (Windows 10) they didn't like, but they were too crashy. Sounds like I'm in the minority.

The whole iZotope suite works fine here, Win10 and Win11. Double check where the iZotope installer installed it and compare that to the plugin locations list in Waveform.

Hmm...that's the thing, it doesn't show the folder it's installing to. I was able to hunt down the folder, which only contained the uninstaller. So, I don't know how to track down the actual plugin folder/file.

Nope, no error. It doesn't show anything.

Yup. I actually, on the second install attempt, only installed the VST3.

And to step back a step...is the plugin's path included in the scan's search? I don't recall where Izotope puts things.

That's the thing, when I install it, it doesn't show where (the path) it's installing it to. So, the only other option to search would be on my entire C/drive, which would literally take hours, if not longer. I tried before, and gave up.

I forget how (sorry, I have brain cancer in my left frontal lobe, so my short-term memory is very poor the past few years), but I think I was able to track down info on the path, but I believe it's in hidden folders in Windows. I forget how to access that. But eh, this is why stuff takes me so long. My memory ain't what it used to be.

You say unpleasant things, they cause ambiguous emotions for me, trying to understand the reason that would make you tell us this.

All plugins are usually installed by vst3 in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\iZotope
go to this folder, select "iZotope Imager.vst3", drag it directly into the Waveform window and drop it directly on the list of plugins, it will install automatically.
The name of the plugin will probably vary, since izotope is very fond of renaming the same plugins in each package under the name of the installed version, be careful.

Really? I have more than 1.5 TB of data and the 'find' command takes less than one minute to scan everything. Of course, I am on Linux not Windows, but I'm pretty sure there is some Windows application that will scan your hard drive just as fast or almost so. Don't rely on Windows' own search tool.

I agree. Should take a tiny amount of time on Windows too (though I must admit I still use the DOS search command after these decades of using Windows).

As an update, I was able to uninstall and then reinstall, and bam, there it was (after digging around in just about every relatable folder). For whatever reason, though, the Steinberg folder plugins get seen by Waveform, but they don't show up in the plugin list after scanning. So, I ended up copy and pasting it to a different folder, and was able to use it on a test track.

My ole computer, it's treated me good for over a decade, but I think it ain't got much left in it with respect to processing all this stuff.
