Regarding Minitaur, I personally don't see how this complements Syntakt, because Syntakt already has an analog bass. Consider Subsequent 37 and Syntakt.

Minitaur has a pretty special sound, different from other Moog's. An easy way to hear the difference is to listen to sound examples of the Sirin (expanded range Minitaur) playing lead sounds.

Important to get a Minitaur Rev.2, btw.

Very clearly.

Elektron boxes are above all experimentation and a source of creation.

The raw sound is really the most basic and does not really attract.

The strength of Elektron is undoubtedly its sequencer, a marvel.

Syntakt has the most interesting potential indeed.

The Digitone, even if it's certainly a great machine too, personally, it doesn't really appeal to me.

I had a Subsequent 37, an exceptional machine.

Only for my use, a Minitaur or similar will be sufficient.

Regarding Berhinger, the Model D sends big sound, but the Poply D seems more interesting and should bring the same big, fat, thick bass as the Model D.

Is the tuning reliable or perfectible?

I adapt, only, the occasion does not interest me.

I'm sure you take good care of your gear, but I never buy second-hand.

Still a big difference between these and the Minitaur. My understanding is the Behringer Toro got the phasing trick wrong (can't confirm that myself), which is a crucial part of the Minitaur.

If you're not a fan of the Elektron sound, maybe just use a Digitakt with your own samples? Or maybe consider the Polyend Play or some of the cool hardware sequencers like Oxi One or Torso T-1? Personally, I'm like you in not being a fan of the Digitakt sound, whereas the sound of the Polyend Play completely blew me away.

This demo seems to show that Behringer Toro is almost identical to the Taurus:



I'm hearing a slightly brighter sound with the Toro, almost harsh, while Taurus is a little more pleasing.

I like Elektron, but I don't think the Syntakt and/or the Analog four mk2 can have as punchy, fat, well-presented bass as a Moog.

Regarding the Polyend Play, nice machine indeed.

Even if another way of doing it, I prefer the Akai Force.

Indeed the Toro is quite impressive.

On the other hand, the reliability, the quality of the components, the holding of the tuning, not sure that it is there.

If there are Toro users, it would be cool to have their opinion on the matter.
