Normal price here in the US.

Back to normal. The S88 was 368€ and the X1 100€ for short time. Now nothing is in stock.
If you plan on purchasing your first Universal Audio hardware, you can get a free additional plugin. Just send a PM.

It's highly likely that new NI hardware will be dropping this/next week. It's been 5 years since the release of Komplete Kontrol MK2 keyboards.

It was a fuckup.

Note that NI are probably going to refund everyone. Thus licenses of Diva etc. that were bought during these hours might eventually be invalidated with us.

Also: We recommend not to buy second hand redeem codes of our stuff. Those might come from this fuckup and thus not work.

Fair enough. I just hope there will be some kind of discount in the future... I am nearly complete with u-he, but Uhbik...

Well, Uhbik is in this current state of limbo which we'll hopefully start addressing once Filterscape 1.5 comes out (less than two weeks, fingers crossed!). We haven't made much of a plan there yet, but as this is going to be a free upgrade from Uhbik 1 to Uhbik 2, I don't think we'd typically do any intro specials there...

Full price it is then. :) And life without Uhbik has been possible until now, so I can take my time. Satin and Presswerk are another story, though. They have become my best friends in plugin terms.

They will most probably refund all the hardware and 3rd party libraries but might not refund their own libraries since they’ve been sold -50% many times earlier and -66% is not far off, the consumer law states that it needs to be very obvious for the customer that the price is wrong when making the purchase for a shop to have a right to cancel it, usually it is mentioned that the limit is around -85-90% or a very unusual sale for a specific shop

Laws aside, I think they will see the money they have made, factor in the number of people who joined the bandwagon or upgraded to a higher tier, see the possible future benefits of what has happened and work from there. Has been done by discouters in the past and fits the software business perfectly.

Might be true, I don't think they lost any money from their own software since they sell it -50% quite regularly and they got lots of people buying who weren't going to buy at all or were on the fence, the hardware and the 3rd party libraries is another thing.

looking at the "terms and conditions" it looks like the hardware orders will be canceled for sure. There's a hope for software, if you received the invoice and/or the goods, apparently...

Why is there not a boycott of Native Instruments and any developer that negates a license purchased during this "fuckup"? If a third party developer "lost" money then it is NI who owes them compensation.

Do you really think someone who bought a product during this debacle is going to wait to get their money back then turn around and pay more for the same product? How is that not classic bait and switch? Even in the CSA (Corporate States of America) that's illegal.

After all the ill will NI has earned for taking legacy products away from paying customers are we supposed to have sympathy for them now?

Are there no consequences for mistakes now? Developers can just bumble their way through the business day with impunity?

My disdain for certain developers grows with each day....amateurs.

I think that a "glitch" wasn't really obvious for the non-experienced buyer. In my case it wasn't obvious at all. Sales of more than 60% are more than normal during summer sales, also hardware sales are something normal in online stores when product line refresh is round the corner. If money were paid, order was confirmed in written and even order was complete in some cases, then the seller should normally honor the purchase contract.

How about Native Instruments wanted to make a sale with this discount and then later say it was a mistake but they respect all the sales. So they have a dumping price sale, deniability of intention, information about how the market reacts, and good publicity for them as they appear customer friendly.

...or it was actually a mistake.
