OK, for a long time I've had a problem with Melda GUIs. If I opened them on one monitor and moved them to another and accidently closed them on the second monitor, when you tried to open the window up it would just be blank and then crash if you tried to close it. I figured it was time to upgrade my setup, so I got a new Nvidia GTX 1660 Super video card. Well, now it's actually way worse. I can't even get a UI window from any of my Melda plugins. I'm using Bigwig 4.4.10 on Windows 10. All my drivers are the latest and I did clean installs, just to make sure.

Dear zerocrossing,

sorry to hear you have troubles with our plugins. I would like to investigate the issue, please provide following information:

1. Windows 10 is 32 or 64bit?
2. Are you loading VST or VST3 plugins?
3. Windows DPI settings, 100%?
4. Number of screens and their resolutions. Also write if the screens are mirrored or extended.
5. Do you have GPU enabled in Melda Plugins?
6. Bitwig User Interface/ Display profile settings. You can find it in Bitwig settings.
7. Bitwig plugin hosting mode.
8. Melda plugins version, 16.08?
9. Anything which is not standard and can have impact on display settings / GUI.

I can say, that on my setup with two 4k/FHD screens, Win 10 64bit (DPI 100%), Melda 16.08, GPU ON (Nvidia too), Bitwig Studio 5.0.4 (default settings) there is no issues, everyting works flawlesly. Also tried quite a lot of different settings with the same results.

I recommend you to upgrade Bitwig to latest v5.0.4 and with Nvidia I recommend to download new drivers and make clean install, even if you have latest. There is an option to make Nvidia install clean. Awaiting your answer.

I’m getting closer to figuring out the problem. It seems like Bitwig needs its mixer window on the monitor that you have designated as the main monitor. If you switch it (which I prefer) that’s when the white UI window problems start.

I still can’t move a window from the monitor it spawned on and then shut it down there without the plugins crashing when I try to bring up the UI again.

Hello,

Could you please provide me with the test scenario on how to reproduce the white UI/plugin crash? Do you have a simple project where it occurs, or can you send me a screen recording or some other form of documentation? This way, I will be able to reproduce and address the issue. Feel free to contact me directly at martin@meldaproduction.com.

I have just tested Bitwig Studio 5.0.11 on Win 10 64-bit with 2x LCD and 16.09 plugins, and everything worked fine.
