I bought Serum through Splice, at the time it was possible to resell it, not its not, so I am stuck with it even if I don't use it much. So I really hope version 2 brings something I like so I don't keep feeling like i wasted 189.

Have you tried Icarus from Tone2? Maybe it's a matter of taste, but as for converting a WAV into a wavetable, I find it better than Serum.

I agree... I also think Icarus does better at converting audio to a wavetable. But Icarus is not so flexible for exporting wavetables in a variety of formats for use in other software or hardware wavetable synths.DrGonzo wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 5:50 amHave you tried Icarus from Tone2? I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

If Steve keeps to his word (which I have no reason to doubt) then as a serum owner rod zero will get serum 2 for free.Agg wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 8:26 pmIf DMG Audio is involved, v2 will cost 378.rod_zero wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 3:22 am I bought Serum through Splice, at the time it was possible to resell it, not its not, so I am stuck with it even if I don't use it much.
