So I started working with the full version of MSF a couple of days ago after having spent a lot of time with the LE version. I get now, why many people seem to focus on the edit screen, and not many people seem to e.g. release their patches with GUI for the LE version. Because the editor is so intuitive and fast to use! So there's often not really a need to package something into a device and give it some Macros.
But guys I would love to see some people use the templates in the presets and then just copy paste their instruments / presets in there and then release those with preset share - maybe even add some macros. That would add so much value to LE version holders. and you can even send those instruments to your friends who have the free version. Pretty easy to do for basic instruments if you use the templates :)

I did find some things that could be improved for my taste aswell. E.g. I was expecting I would be able to import common sample library formats into the sampler. That doesn't seem to work (soundfont, exs24) but would be a cool feature.

An undo function would also be really handy. Especially for when I accidentally hit "random" instead of "edit"! :ud: :help:

And for my brain the FM operators are layed out the wrong way around. If I e.g. start with 2 ops and 1 modulates 2 - I then can't add op 3 to modulate 1. For my brain it would make more sense to have op 1 as a direct out and then send as many ops as I want to that one to modulate. "Step one: add sine" "Step two: modulate sine". but here I have to use op one for step 2 and then later can't add another op to fm the ops already there.

There is an undo functions (the two arrows at the bottom of the toolbar). However, that only works on things that can be assigned to multi-parameters, so it won't help if you hit the wrong random button.

I would also like a proper undo function or at least the option to be asked before randomization is applied. Those random buttons are scary :help:

Ooooo thanks for pointing that out! I usually have the toolbar hidden. Seems to work in most (? maybe all?) cases!

You're right, it seems to work in most cases. What threw me off, is that sometimes you need to click undo multiple times to get back to the state before the random click.

At least that tends to happen for me when I click the random button of the Generator or FX tab header. It's the same for the modular modules like Unison and Modular.

But it's good to know that I can go back somewhat reliably if I hit the a random button by accident again.

Then I have to adjust my feature request to: It would be nice if Ctrl+Z worked :)

There was a good sale on MSoundFactory full on a third party site recently, but I'm still hoping to get an upgrade price from MSOundFactoryLE to full MSoundFactory that is less than the nearly full price offer on melda... Ever seen one out there? It seems funny to pay for full MSoundFactory because the sale price on it is less than the upgrade price on the melda site.

I am not sure if my experience a couple of years ago is the same as what you describe here. The upgrade price for Melda Sound Factory from Melda was better than the sale price from the 3rd-party where I purchased Melda Sound Factory LE.
I purchased MSoundFactoryLE through you. If I upgrade to MSoundFactory through Melda Productions, I get a partial credit of my LE purchase price. Your current list price is $10 less than theirs, but that's still more than it would cost through them. Do you offer an upgrade price? If so, how much would the cost be and how can I get that? Thanks.

Thanks for your message and patience.

Unfortunately, any loyalty offers are exclusive to MeldaProduction as we cannot offer upgrades / crossgrades for their products.

If you purchase from us, you will however be eligible for the free gift, Balancer, as well as 5% back of the cost in the form of Virtual Cash, which you can spend on the site.

Let me know if you have any further questions!
As you can see in my experience because of the loyalty credit offered directly from Melda for the LE to Full Upgrade, the Melda price was a much better deal (even with the third-party seller's perks).
