I was later lucky to have a friend who had an older brother who had a great catalog of music, and he lent me a bunch of great albums. I imagine kids today are benefiting from similar exposure, but many will not. The question I ask is, who is the current Who, Beatles, Police, King Crimson, etc? I’m sure they’re probably out there, and some have hit some level of fame, but many are obscure and my current orbit does not cross theirs, usually. I used to get good tips from Pandora, but it seems to have dried up for some reason. I discovered some pretty good stuff on it, but now when I use that stuff to seed new channels, or new stuff that I found, I don’t seem to get anything new. I don’t know what the next Pandora is. Maybe AI will start being able to suggest stuff from YouTube or something.

do you have a list of "bad disco"?

But those immortals are not always out in the open, depending on your circumstances. For instance, I hated the music of the 70s, because to me it all seemed to be bad disco. I discovered music from the 60s because they released The Blue and Red Beatles compilation albums and Got To Get You Into My Life charted and was being played on the pop radio station my mom put on in the car. Meanwhile, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, and the Talking Heads were making epic music that I’d later grow to love, but I had no idea it existed. Hell, I thought The Who was heavy metal music because one of the bullies who picked on me and my friends often wore their tee shirt.

It was all bad to me at the time, but the Bee Gees were the most hated in my crowd, I think.
In a time when machines do so much of the work, with less imagination and scope, I've come to respect it over modern R&B/SOUL/HIPHOP or anything else that doesn't require a scintilla of musicianship. Well, maybe a semi-scintilla.
I especially like Donna Summer moaning 'Love to love ya, baby.' Ooh yeah! As for the Bee-Gees, I've mellowed on them, too. Can't listen to Stayin'Alive/How Deep Is Your Love/Tragedy more than once every few years, though.

I wonder if he'll try to hump my leg again, or if he's banned. I forgot his name after my reply to him.
