Waveform on Linux: stupid amount of system logging related to LV2 plugins

I happened to have a look at my /var/log/syslog file, and noticed Waveform is generating tons and tons of messages like this while it's running:

Code: Select all

lilv_world_add_plugin(): warning: Reloading plugin <https://www.modartt.com/lv2/Pianoteq8STAGE>
A similar message is repeated for every single LV2 plugin on my system, as far as I can tell. They seem to appear as soon as I open Waveform, and repeat fairly frequently after that. (Not sure what triggers the repeats.)

Surely this can't be intended behaviour?

Waveform FREE 12.5.11, Ubuntu 23.04, KDE.

EDIT: it looks like the messages don't appear when the option "Automatically check for newly added plugins" is not enabled.

I have reported this issue to the developers. For me it seems that the LV2 URi are being reloaded each time that Waveform regains focus after switching to another window.
Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
