Hi. This is the second time I write a post about this feature.
I firmly believe Waveform Pro still misses the feature of a magnetic cursor that pulls the ends or the starts of clips and markers to it (just like any normal video editor). I'm not speaking about moving the whole clip or marker to the cursor. Actually this is what I'm speaking about:
I want to extend the end of a marker or clip to the cursor position without moving its start position (or vice versa). A magnetic cursor can save me the hassle of zooming in and trying to visually align the end of the clip with the cursor or writing the location of the clip end in the controls panel manually (both unpractical).
Adding such a feature is a necessity in a modern DAW. I hope this post would draw the attention of Waveform developers to it.
Thanks
A magnetic cursor for faster workflow

Well, it might if they still came here to read this forum. They no longer do.
You can position your cursor over any point and type I to drop an in marker or O to drop an out marker. This is easy to do.
Edit: I see you're talking about aligning clips, not markers. My apologies.

This is interesting. If they no longer came here to read about the feedback of users and their experiences, where would they do it? I doubt it. They probably keep an open eye on the forum, but it's a matter of priorities, different insights about the market, and gaining new users from other platforms rather than what the current users wish or want.Watchful wrote: Fri Sep 15, 2023 11:10 pm Well, it might if they still came here to read this forum. I don't know any means of contacting the developers at this point, except for bug reports...to which they are slow to respond if at all.
