I expect Urs is being extra 'particular' with this new version. With their current catalog of plugins, this one will have to be revolutionary.

In all seriousness, it sounds like Z3 is on track for release in the first half 2024 with Zebralette 3 out or in beta by end of this year.

If I had to guess, we will probably see it at Superbooth with a beta to follow shortly thereafter.

I don't believe a release in the first half of 2024... maybe a public beta.

In any case, whenever it happens, I'll be all over it. That waveform editor was one of the most interesting new features I've seen in a long time.

I like serum as is and use it in every track, when I found out serum 2 is free I just see it as a nice bonus.

So that is confirmed? If you own Serum 1 (no matter when purchased) Serum 2 is free?

Yep basically anyone who owns serum will get serum 2 free (if it ever gets released). Steve duda told me he wants to thank those that supported him buying serum v1 with v2.

That said people should buy serum only if they want v1 and not on the basis of getting a v2 should there be one (we know it is being worked on though)

He basically does not openly advertise this because if anything were to happen and v2 not appear it would not be fair. I think personally this is the correct way for him to be and he was very open and honest in our correspondence even given rationale behind his answers and info on things I had not asked but we're related to my q's.

Basically he answered questions honestly about serum 2 being in development but does not want people to spend money on the dream of v2 by buying v1 considering v2 is not finished just because we know it is potentially coming.

That how I read my conversation with him. Came across as a good bloke to me.

Btw, Serum gets way more usage than my Diva, and lately ZebraHZ.

Since I’ve got two soundbanks from Bound to Divede and The Unfinished I got to explore the less known side of Serum.
Fantastic synth and v2 should expand its “amazingness” (it’s that English of what )
