The LX-24 makes Arturia FX Collection worth it alone.
Others that should get a lot of use are the choruses, flanger, phaser, and delays.
That is, if you like old-school rack FX units as much as I do.
I'm also currently using Arturia's Comp FET-76 as my 1176 model. I wish they did an LA-2A model too.
Speaking of Arturia's compressors, any opinions on Comp TUBE-STA?
It's a model of the Gates STA-Level compressor from the 1950s. It's a vacuum tube vari-mu compressor that was a staple in American radio, particularly for voice. The STA-Level has a reputation for adding weight to the low-end for the "boss radio voice."
So far I've tried it on a few things but haven't been able to click with it. It seems to make everything quieter and it gets fuzzy really quickly. I end up preferring the Comp VCA-65 or the UAD dbx 160 for bass guitar.
And while it shares some superficial cosmetics with the LA-2A, they are nothing alike.

Which one of the Arturia FX? Or do you mean all of them have this amount of latency?

I think its quite good, if you spend some time with it. Especially using the Advanced - Panel with its Detection - Mode and SC - Options. The overall sweetspot is tiny though and needs to be dialed in carefully. Also keeping in Mind the obvious, that Input and Output are linked (8 in the bottom/left corner) by default and you will need to compensate the Input - Compression - Level. Still a unique and useful Plugin imho.jamcat wrote: Sat Sep 16, 2023 10:25 pm The LX-24 makes Arturia FX Collection worth it alone.

I think that's due to the internal oversampling.
When you set higher sampling rate to the project, latency may go away.

ok, thanks but when you use a chain of Arturia FX , you are stacking and adding a lot of latency, no ?

I actually didn't like them that much, fragments has been the most interesting so far for me.

I know about the input/output link button. That's why I don't understand why they didn't do the same thing for their preamp plugins.El°HYM wrote: Sun Sep 17, 2023 12:32 pm I think its quite good, if you spend some time with it. As it turns out, TUBE-STA is very sensitive to the source material. That's not surprising, since it is tube modeled. When I had tried it out, it was on an overdriven bass guitar going through a tube amp in TONEX. So this tube→tube chain was overloading TUBE-STA, causing it to get fuzzy and quiet.
When I tried TUBE-STA on a drum buss a little bit ago, it reacted quite nicely, and the sweet spot wasn't that small after all. Pretty much any setting did something nice.
