And if you knew how much money they paid for them, you'd understand why. But their obsession is more in having the right tool for every job and knowing where it is when they need it. They don't buy tools they don't need, just for the sake of having them, like we do.
They have a drawer of impulse buys too. No one is immune.
And even the definition of "need" is relative and subjective.

My brother works for Snap-On, he wishes they had a drawer full of impulse buys!

Everytime I load U-He Diva, I’m amazed by it’s sound. Just WOW

Cherry Audio PS-20 is a good runner-up for my analog needs.

For wavetable, U-He Hive 2 sounds great, but I mostly use Arturia Pigments.

For FM nothing beats NI FM8, although Ableton Operator is a great alternative.
At the beginning of something beautiful...

Massive X almost always has a level of clarity and precision that can be made to sound rough but almost always sits nicely in the mix. It's just a shame that it's not easier to program but the challenge is fun.

I also really love NI Monark- just so fat and textured.

Repro (both 1 and 5) and Diva for more vintage tones.

Alchemy (in Logic now, used to be Camel) really sounds good to me, I've been giving it more time and finding it can do a wide variety of sounds. As with many other synths (like Diva) I don't always like the included reverbs/delays and often turn those off in favor of separate plugins.

I should really bring Massive X out to play more.

Insane the amount of love Massive-X is getting, glad to hear it

Not really. It's a trigger response to other current threads churning up about their state of change.
A "circling of the wagons".
Plenty of haters for that synth and how the company is not doing enough with it as well. So the defenders find any spot they can stick their "insane love" in.

yup, that must be it. couldn't possibly be a difference of opinion...

:hihi:

I'm surprised as well though. Positively. :)

Always a difference in opinion! It's how KVR thrives!
It's just become predictable what, how and where they're triggered...

If y'all can't make literally any synth sound bad, you're doing it wrong.

"Haters" hated it because of the GUI and this revenge narrative in their head where it was supposed to kill Serum and re-revolutionize wavetable synthesis because Serum did that to Massive before. Notice how very few haters across various forums had any complaints about the sound. Now you'd be shocked to learn what happened to be the subject of this thread
