I'm not a big fan of 80s hair metal, you know the stuff that seems to be a big synthy rhythm track, massive chorus, then widdly widdly. It's more due to the way that it's counted as metal rather than commercial pop. Like what's the difference between Unskinny Bop and I think We're Alone Now?

when i was a teen, in a small town, all the rock and alternative people hung out together, as their weren't enough of us for a decent conversation around a table full of beers otherwise.
this meant, for numbers you'd go to gigs with someone just as company, i ended up seeing both bon bloody jovi and poison because of this arrangement.
