Interestingly, they barely mention what Bitwig emailed to say. Which to me is the biggest part of the news (though I am not really a Studio One user).

Consider that probably less than 1% of audio software users are Linux users, it doesn't really surprise me that they "tuck it away". At least I wouldn't see a reason to market a new version of the DAW with that.

It surprises me that they even develop a Linux version. Sounds like a big waste of time for me, but, hey.

I wish I wasn't at work. There's an AMA for NI MK3 on their forums.
I wonder what the Live and FL keyboard shortcuts mean? FL as a VST in Studio One makes sense, I'm not familiar enough with Live to know what that would imply.

[ edit ] I've been composing for 3D audio since 1992. Glad to see all sorts of support in Studio One, though not about the Atmos bit. Atmos is a silly, bad-sounding scam.

I've been asking for Surround Sound for years on here. All they need now is clip launching and Studio One will have everything one could want in a DAW....(Well almost).

No, and you know that was my first thought
I started typing out that now that Midi 2.0 drivers are live for Windows, Mac, Android, Linux and the AMEnote dev board is out there I'm waiting for SOMETHING aside from Multitrack Studio and my Embodme Erae Touch to support it so I can live a sane life of music-making

I am thinking it has to be new hardware for certain. Not quite ready to replace everything just yet

Both I think, but the new NI MkIII’s do support MIDI 2 but I can’t remember if S1 does, yet, but it needs to to get the best from them. It does support MPE, so it might already, although that’s not the same thing of course.
